This is a very very nice facility with details galore: gorgeous rooms, amazing bathrooms, technology everywhere, wonderful sheets and beds - the list goes on and on. If you luck out with a suite, you'll even get a Japanese computerized toilet with remote control!

We found housekeeping to be excellent as well: friendly, prompt, and extremely discreet. You never seem them!

For loyal Hyatt guests treatment is good: the complimentary breakfast (for Globalists) is generous (they tell you about a $ limit when you check in but I don't think this limit is enforced as long as you keep things reasonable) AND we were given a very nice upgrade to a wonderful suite.

Food and drinks, while expensive as expected at a 5 star hotel in NYC, is also very very good.

The pool area is also unique and gorgeous for NYC.

Now the downsides - service is uneven and somewhat disappointing. A few examples: we called down asking for some ibuprofen and despite being advised of a charge which we accepted, they never sent anything up. At the pool area, we were told they were "out of towels" and would not be supplying any more that day because they had had "a busy day." What???? How does a 5 star hotel run out of towels in the pool area? The explanation from the onsite lifeguard was as baffling as it was unacceptable.

There ARE celebrities in the hotel and it does seem as though they get a much higher level of service - perhaps this is deserved if they are paying top dollar, but to those of us who are more "normal" it's off-putting to witness.

Worth a $1,000 a night? I wouldn't pay that for this hotel. Maybe $600. Is it a good value if paying with Hyatt points? Yes, and we will be back in the future.

Room Tip: Views on north side face interesting cityscape and higher floors can see central park.

the Hotel is beautiful and the rooms are amazing. The staff is great. Esp Mina at the front desk who went out of his way to help us. We had an emergency and he went out of his way to make sure out requests from him were met and he went out of his way to check on us and asking if there was more he can do. He is one of the major reasons I would return to the park hyatt.

We enjoyed a wonderful stay in this well-situated Manhattan hotel. The service was impeccable and the rooms well appointed. Except for a cooling unit that certainly looked like a refrigerator in the mini-bar, we had no complaints. We loved the easy walk to Broadway and appreciated that the kitchen was willing to accommodate our late night room service requests even though they were not listed on the late night menu. We will definitely be back.

Would certainly recommend this hotel to everyone. Although I arrived after 11pm due to a flight delay, I still received a warm welcoming service. Room is spacious and the amenities are great. Nothing to complain about. One of the best hotel I’ve stayed at NYC so far.

We had a great two night stay here! It is a gorgeous, modern hotel with just about a perfect location near theaters and Times Square, great nightlife and restaurants in Hells Kitchen, Central Park and Columbus Circle. We had a great view of Carnegie Hall on the 21st floor. The room is filled with gadgets. Everything is controlled with a switch, button, or tablet. Huge bathroom with soaking tub, walk-in rainfall shower, and water closet. The mirror has a TV built in. The only negative with the room that I was rather surprised about, particularly given the high rate, was about the bed. It had a very large lump in the middle and was not very comfortable. But you don’t go to New York to sleep, right? So, it wasn’t a huge deal for us. The indoor pool was pretty stunning. The staff were friendly and accommodating. If you have some Hyatt points to use and/or can handle the price, I definitely recommend this hotel If you are looking for luxury in New York!
