“Fresh and crisp for lunch”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 April 2014

During our day at MOMA, we stopped for lunch here because it was convenient. We were very pleased with the service and food, and would certainly visit again. The lunch menu is mostly sandwiches and unique salads which are beautifully plated. The curry chicken salad was fresh with just the right amount of spice. The steak salad, slices of steak atop mixed greens was also delicious. Don't miss the fresh hummus too! No reservations, but we only had to wait about 10 minutes.

“Very friendly and service minded staff and tasteful food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 April 2014

Had lunch at MoMA, Terrace 5, on our third day in New York City! The atmosphere and food led our minds towards Scandinavian cousine. Light and airy and yet we did not leave hungry. The portions were substantial. And the staff was kind and attentive.
So, we had to come back the next day, just to eat at the Terrace again :) we had the suggested 3 meal course, and again the service was excellent! And because we came a bitt after normal lunch ours we were able to get a table right at the window! The food as well as the beer, the waiter had recommended, tasted great.
All in all a real treat, thank you Terrace 5!

“Very good”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 April 2014

I had been here before but just now writing a review. I went here last Sunday for brunch while visiting the museum. I'd have given it 5 stars had it not been for the following altercation. There was a couple ahead of us to be seated. After they were seated, another couple came after us and the hostess greeted the other couple who arrived after us, before us. When we brought it to her attention that we had arrived first (because she hadn't acknowledged that we were there previously) she snapped at us that she knew we were waiting. Other than that the visit was great. The food is wonderful and the service is great. Definitely have the hummus and flatbread. Amazing!

“Well Presented Original Menus”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 March 2014

We enjoy this restaurant on two levels, the food and also it's position part way through our museum visit. The recommendation is to start the museum visit on Floor 6 with any special exhibitions, then visit Floor 5 rooms before moving to the Terrace 5 venue early before it gets too busy. Tables cannot be booked and this is a good way to avoid a queue. Having said that, the meals here are well worth any wait. The choices are of high quality, fresh and often a little unusual (So much the Better). Customer care and service are excellent and even if a queue has formed you are not rushed to leave. Prices are fair and we will certainly be back on our next visit.

“A pleasant chance to rest one's feet and enjoy good food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 January 2014 via mobile

While enjoying MOMA's collections, Terrace 5 affords the opportunity to take a break and partake of decent food. Obviously service depends of timing and wait staff on duty. We had good service. Soup and sandwiches were great.
