“Awesome Staff”
Reviewed 29 April 2014

I could not say enough about our recent one night stay at this Holiday Inn! I was in town with my mother and father to attend the Rachel Ray show. The staff were so unbelievably helpful from the door man to the front desk clerk! The rooms were clean and the food was great! Yes the rooms are small but that's expected in the big city! The concierge was so helpful and really went above and beyond to help us with all our needs. It is in a great location with so many places in walking distance. I told everyone I couldn't wait to get home and write this review. It is a great place with great people who made our night in the big city wonderful! Gram-paw Ed and the crazy ladies from Massachusetts just wanted to say thank you again!

for ny rooms, it is kinda small, but bigger than most. could fit in the bathroom and around the roommany channels for the tv. guess it was direct tv. BIG POINT. WINDOWS that OPEN. alwwyas love fresh air. room was clean. only bad thing is 2 elevators and a tall hotel. takes a little for the elevator. to get a soft drink, you have to go to the adjoining bar for a 2 dollar can of soda. I guess they have breakfast there, but was not there for that. Staff seemed very helpful, even when i checked in after 11.PS, if you use priceline, call the hotel later to make sure its not a smoking room pricline defaults to that. The good thing was my smoking room did not reek, and i could open the window without hitting furniture.. i would stay again . good quiet safe area. even outdoor tables outside to enjoy

Room Tip: buy your drinks from a store. 2 dollars for a can soda is steep

We have just returned from the Holiday Inn Manhattan 6th Avenue and only have good things to say about our experience. Everybody at the hotel were friendly and went above and beyond to help us in any way we needed. The rooms are small but very very clean and had all that we needed as we didn't spend much time in our room - New York is way too amazing to do that! The location of the hotel was fabulous too. We walked everywhere and found it very easy to get to and from everywhere we wanted to be which was all the normal tourist sights and shopping areas too. Breakfast was included and was quite substantial and kept us going until way past lunchtime most days and again if you wanted to alter the choices a little the team in the restaurant were only too happy to offer alternatives. All in all I would look forward to returning to this hotel and cannot praise all the staff enough! Thank you for making our trip wonderful.

We stayed at Holiday Inn for one night - tiny but spotless room, the bed was comfortable, water pressure and temperature great. A bit noisy, since the windows are pretty old, but that to be expected in a big city.
Breakfast was extremely busy - so many people! But everything was hot and fresh, nothing was empty and the hotel employees were doing their best to accommodate everyone.
Great location within walking distance to a subway stop.
Would stay there again.

Room Tip: If possible, ask for a room that does not face the street.

We arrived late Tuesday night very tired, met by Carlos the doorman who took our bags to our room, checked in and had coffee and bagels in the primo cafe which is on the hotel served by the lovely chef. Breakfast is good (especially the pancakes) the waitress, waiters and barman was really helpful with advice on getting around Manhattan and what not to do and where to go shop. We had a twin double bedroom. The four of us found the room very nice of course it is a bit small but when your in a city with so much to do its just to get a good sleep freshen up then off you go. We had tea and coffee in our room and if we ran out they would bring up some more. Pilau the concierge was brilliant if we needed to find out anything she would help, she phoned our transfer to return to JFK so I didn't have to worry. All in all what a brilliant stay, thank you so much to the wonderful manager and all his wonderful staff. We can't wait to visit you and your hotel again we miss you already xxx

It's a nice hotel in a great location.
But don't expect free tea/coffee or anything for that matter.
Most hotels in the US provide tea/coffee....
THe latest checkout you can get is at 14.00 (even though someone at the front desk promised me 14.30. when i verified later with another person she said it was impossible....)

I do have to mention that they gave me an early check-in when I arrived in the morning (around 8 AM). THat was nice! If you can get a good price then take this hotel and never the Mid-Town HI (57th street), cause that's a very tired hotel and this one looks newer!
I slept like a baby, but maybe that was because of my jetlag :)

Stayed in this hotel chaperoning a high school choral group. The hotel staff were very accommodating, friendly and helpful. One was particularly nice as he prepare individual bags for all of our group with a bottle of water and snacks. As for the rooms, they were very small. Too small for 4 people in a room in my opinion. We were climbing over our suit cases to get to the bathroom. We couldn't even open our door very well to enter our room. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The bathroom was clean, but again, a very small space. If you don't mind a small area and you need a place for a night or two, this would be a great place to stay.
