After travelling for 14 hours we found that we had been put in the wrong hotel/location and had every plan on checking out in the morning. However, after spending the night and taking time to talk to the fantastic staff and in particular Robert the Manager we decided to stay and this was the right decision.

Not only where the rooms spacious we had 2 queen beds, but the bathroom was great with shampoos, etc and we actually had a bath as well as a shower which was great. The breakfast was also good especially learning to make our own waffles which gets 10 out of 10.

Only one moan, there was also a large group of people staying for the last couple of days of our trip and although I was not late in getting to breakfast, all items where gone. Also great free and coffee any time of the day or night.

To summarise, don't be put of by the area as it's all being reworked and you need to stay at this great hotel before someone else snaps it up and it get's too expensive. Great hotel, good shops and restaurants nearby. But best of all is Robert, thank you for making our stay - 10/10 for you.

We very much enjoyed our one night at the Best Western Seaport Inn. The hotel is not new, but it is beautifully maintained and immaculately clean. The bathroom in our room was spacious and elegant, with quality soaps, shampoo, etc. provided. Our king bed was extremely comfortable and furnished with elegant, European-style linens and plenty of pillows. Furnishings were attractive and comfortable. Large flat-screen HD TV was a plus.

This is a hidden treasure in the South St Seaport area that is still in the rebuilding period after the hurricane. Everything is coming along nicely, and it looks like the area will be even nicer once it's all done. A taxi driver didn't even know there was a hotel there.. It blends in well with the shops and restaurants. The hotel staff is fantastic: helpful, friendly, and even calling us by name coming in and going; using the automatic door opener for you, etc. Free breakfast was good, Room size was above average for New York. View of Brooklyn bridge and Seaport was terrific. Room itself showed some age, but was very clean. Paid parking lot is just one block up and staff there also very friendly.

Room Tip: Request a high room with a view if it's available.

Excellant place to stay. Great location, excellant hotel staff, very clean and quiet rooms. Breakfast was an excellant treat. I would highly recommend this hotel, particularly if you are as novice to New York as we were. The hoel staff is outstanding to help and guide you, and would always call us a car when needed. I promise you will not be disappointed in this hotel....

The hotel is located within Seaport with a great view of the Brooklyn Bridge. The area has an old port vintage feel, which I like with some local restaurants. The room was a little on the small size, but this is New York so it's adequate for the night. I honestly have nothing bad to say about the hotel itself; however, I have a deep concern about the personal driving service the hotel will call on your behalf to take you around.

For one we were told by the hotel staff we would be notified once the cab was on the way, we did not receive such notification. Secondly once the driver did arrive he had no identifying marks so we had no idea he was our driver but wanted us to get in his SUV. Moreover, once we were able to establish who he was he had no idea where the 9/11 memorial was located, but he has lived in the city for 45 years. Lastly, after he took us to the correct location he was mad we gave him no tip. Really? You only wanted us to shop at the locations you recommended, didn't take us to the right location, and we were late.
