“Perfect NYC boutique hotel choice”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 March 2014 via mobile

I have now stayed at the Night Hotel twice and it does not disappoint. Both visits the staff were immensely helpful and friendly. I love the theme of the hotel and how it has been adapted throughout. The sushi and drinks are super tasty and the perfect end to busy day exploring the busy city. Of course, the rooms are a bit small but that is New York. We managed to fit 4 cases in our room and it was fine. Being that close to the busy, bustling Times Square, what more could you ask for. See you again next year!

Travelled with my wife just after New Years to New York. The hotel is very well prices and it is in great location for tourist visit. It is just around the corner from the Times Square and shopping. From the pictures it looked interestingly designed, so we thought it would be a great option to stay. Our room was with a window to the back with a view to a wall, so very quiet from the street noise. It was very clean, bed comfortable. However the black design made everything very dark and you almost can`t see that the hotel was not updated for some time.
The weather was very cold at that time in New York, but for some reason the air conditioning was switched on when we have arrived and it took some time to figure out how to warm up the room. We would call the receptionist, but since the moment of checking in, they were so passive and superficial, we did not want to ask them anything. I always seen americans as friendly nation, but this guys were just not an example. Absolutely no smiles no welcome, just taking money for the stay and good bye.
All in all good value for money, but without any sensitivity, something you would expect from a designers hotel, which even calls itself the sexiest.

Positives - 100 meters from Times Square and staff were in general good (great check-in from Patrick, very knowledgable). BUT this hotel is simply badly maintained. Carpets throughout are very worn, a lot of chipped marks on the walls both in the public areas & in the rooms and I found alot of dust in the cupboards where the clothing and safe are located. The first room (56) I stayed in had a broken shower and an air-con unit outside of the window making noise all night. Staff were great, apologised and moved me to another room (51). This room however had a problem with the window not shutting properly meaning that cold air (-2 outside) was permanently coming through into the room and I had to stuff towels around it to minimise the impact. Reported it to reception the next morning and was advised that maintenance would come and fix it. They never did and my towels were in the same position when I got back that evening. Reported it again the next morning and was told, maintenance didnt see any issue with the window - thats the way the windows are apparently. If you are in town for one night and dont plan on using the room so much, the location is really great especially if you plan on being in the midtown area - if you are planning to stay more than 2 nights - dont!

Room Tip: avoid rooms facing the back of the hotel

Had a fabulous stay. Location fantastic - 5 minute stroll to Times Square - yet room very quiet. Loved the trendy boutique style design. The lighting in the room was great with the bed being lit from beneath. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The only negative for me was the minimal space for clothes hanging/storage. OK for one person but would be a struggle for two. Overall loved the stay and would definitely stay here again.
