I had ramen here recently with some friends. The ramen noodles were almost like the kind you get from an instant ramen package. Not sure why other reviewers gave this place high marks. The taste of the Ramen here was not authentic. I saw the sign that they had other locations in Japan. I think they changed the flavor because either they don't have the same ingredient as in Japan or they make it tastes so local people would like them .

I would not recommend to go to this restaurant. Instead of going here, I would suggest to walk around the corner to Misoya, which has excellent , authentic ramen. Misoya Eamen us located at 129 2nd ave.

Good ramen. Small menu. If you come late, they don't have many options left. Clean and efficient service.

We tried to go to Ippudo but it was completely full and we were told to wait 1 hour so we went to Setagaya instead. The price was reasonable and it was much better that we could sit down right away. The soup was bit tasteless but it was reasonable enough for 10 bucks. I enjoyed the ramen in the cold weather which was heart warming.
