My husband and I recently stayed for 3 nights in the Vermont Suite at the Inn NYC. I almost hesitate to write this review because it’s one of the best kept secrets on the Upper West Side. However, we had such a fantastic stay and it’s too easy to rave about the Inn. We are former residents of the UWS and were looking for something that reminded us of living there. We normally stay at the Beacon Hotel in the neighborhood, but we were unable to get a reservation. After some further searching, we found the Inn and it sounded exactly like what we were looking for. Our suite was luxurious, beautifully decorated, comfortable with lots of personal touches. The hospitality and host Elyn made us instantly feel at home. We had our own separate entrance to the Vermont Suite and the array of snacks, fresh cheeses, quiche and bottle of wine upon our arrival allowed us to settle in and unwind after our travel to the city. The location is on a beautiful street and within walking distance of both Central Park and Riverside Park, numerous cafes, wine bars, shops and other local area attractions (Lincoln Center, Museum of Natural History). Its also ideally located to the subway for easy access to Times Square, Theater District, etc. The bedroom is on the lower level and was so comfy and quiet and just what we needed after busy days of walking around. We felt like we lived there and didn’t want to leave. We also had an opportunity to see several of the other suites at the Inn and they were equally as beautiful. I travel frequently for both work and pleasure and while this may be more expensive, it’s worth it to have your “own” place in the city rather than a tiny impersonal hotel room. It rates at the top of my list and you could not be more spoiled. We will definitely be returning to our other “home” in the city soon.

The Inn is so beautiful and every detail was so marvelous, we felt like secret superstars with our own little mansion tucked away. We could have stayed for days and days and not felt a need to go out. But we did go out and realized the location is absolutely marvelous, too! So many great places very close. The staff were helpful and kind and...sigh...you really need to quit reading this review and go book your own room. We'll stay there again!

The Inn is well run; the staff is friendly and responsive. We stayed in the Vermont Suite which has a separate entrance below street level. The suite lacks natural light, but that's more than made up for in comfortable furnishings and quiet. A fine refuge from all the hustle and bustle. Particularly appreciated the kitchen, well-stocked with teas, fresh fruit, bagels, etc.

First time visiting NYC, the Inn was phenomenal. A beautifully decorated and organized room. Considerate and caring customer service. Very generous and tasty amenities refreshed daily. We were amazed and touched by all the kindness and help. Directions for one of our adventures were found and provided. All around a fantastic experience. We will certainly stay there again the next time.

Room Tip: The spa room has its own jacuzzi!! Can't say no to that!!

We just got back from our seventh stay at the Inn. We once again stayed in the Library Suite. And as usual, didn't want to leave. Ruth, Ellen and their staff go out of their way to make your stay not only memorable but so special. They tend to your every need. Everything in the Inn is first rate- from the decorating to the cleanliness of the suites. The great detail that is shown down to the way the bed is made and the towels are folded - it's all five star. When we're in Manhattan, there never is a question as to where we would consider staying - it's always at the Inn. We've written before that everyone deserves to feel like a superstar celebrity at least once in their life - believe us, if you stay at the Inn - its the feeling you'll walk away with. We're already booked for next year.
