The Morgan Library is one of the absolute jewels of the Manhattan museum world, and the food service there is on a par with the Library itself. It is a calm and quiet place to enjoy a light meal or more if you wish, or to rest while visiting the Library collections of manuscripts and other fine arts.

The last time we ate at the Morgan Library, my wife and daughter both ordered the tower with the many little goodies on the different levels - I don't remember what they called it (and it doesn't seem to be on the menu right now), but they loved it. I will usually get their salad, made with fresh high-quality ingredients. A great way to start a visit to the museum, for sure!

We loved the quiet. Not that easy to find in New York. The lattes were good. The eggs benedict was lovely- and I had a huge bowl of berries that made me happy. Its not a place that has the latest chef of course- but it has peace, quiet, a very nice small room with white table cloths and it was the perfect place to have an intimate conversation without having to shout at each other. I think its perfect for conversation- and while I wish that was ordinary in New York- it is not.

This restaurant looks like a fancy and special place but it stays in the looks. The food was pretty expensive and not up to it. I had a salad that was very small. At least, they give you bread.
