Amazing views of the city from here and a good experience all round
Stand outside, book a ticket using the free WiFi and skip the queue.
We spent about an hour and a half here including having a drink in the cafe

We make an annual trip to NYC on personal business. Bought "skip-the-line" tickets 2 years ago and both previous trips were "low cloud" events. Reception desk let us postpone until later date due to zero visibility. This year was perfect sunny day. We spent about 1-1/2 hours at the top just taking in the views in all directions and pointing out landmarks to each other. Off the elevator at the top, you watch a short film. When they gather you into a crowd in the next room, it is to try to get you to rent the Ipad for $15. If not interested, don't waste the 5 minutes and work your way through the crowd to the staircase that leads 1 flight down to the main observation deck. Elevators have a neat digital wall that shows a cool video on the way up and down. Enjoy.

In my opinion the entrance fee was too much for the views from behind the glass. The pictures taken were not perfect and had reflections from the glass.

This is somewhere you really need to visit, to see the great NYC landscape. The closest to the Shard in London i have see. Stunning.

Visited with my husband, 14 and 10 year old.
Would recommend purchasing ticket on the day as when we visited NYC, 3 out of the 5 days, the top of this building was cloaked in fog.
My 14 year old rated it as her favourite landmark of NYC. Very quick lift to transport you 102 floors to the viewing deck. Fantastic 360 degree entertainment on the ride up. I won't spoil it, but when you reach the top, nothing quite prepares you for the big reveal. Very well done!
