“The lamb starter was delightful”
Reviewed 18 April 2014 via mobile

We had a lovely meal of mezze here. All food was very good. We had a lamb starter which was memorable and the baclava the best ever. Plus a lot if other very good dishes. The waiter who's name I am afraid I can't remember but was Brooklyn born and lives in queens was lovely.

“Loved This Place!”
Reviewed 12 April 2014

Found this place on restaurant.com and got a coupon prior to the trip to NY. Food was fabulous and prices reasonable for NY. Atmosphere was mellow and not too crowded on a Friday night. Would highly recommend.

“The food is excellent but noise level is excessive”
Reviewed 1 April 2014

We were surprised at the excessive noise level considering that the restaurant was only half full. It unfortunately detracted from the really excellent food. We had two types of fish which were both cooked perfectly. Very moist and flavourful. The sides were good as well. The fresh pita bread comes out warm. Service is friendly and decent.

“Chance brought us in, excellent food will make us return!”
Reviewed 30 March 2014 via mobile

On foot, dodging raindrops, hungry, with not much time for dinner before an evening movie was what had us on Third avenue tonight. Spied Ethos from across the street and made a beeline for the door.
Warm, cozy interior, speedy seating at the table of our choice, and prompt delivery of warm, fresh pita bread made a nice first impression. Placed our order for hummus to go with the pita and was impressed by the generous portion which easily fed all three of us. Husband ordered the leg of lamb with orzo which was tender and succulent. Teenage son and I had the ground lamb; he with the grilled potatoes (excellent) and I had the sautéed broccoli with garlic (also excellent). All portions were on the large side; my son and I could've easily split one entree (although he did have two slices of pizza before dinner). A surprise commentary dessert topped off a delicious meal.

The only detractor was the highly motivated wait staff who hurried to clear our table, almost before we put our fork down and had a chance to digest for a moment. We felt rushed to get moving, so if you're looking for a leisurely meal, this might not be the spot to have it. Probably suitable for older children, teens, couples and business meals. Potentially romantic, but you might have to tell them you'd like to take your time. Pricey, but worth it, overall.

“Well worth it.”
Reviewed 30 March 2014 via mobile

We stumbled on this gem as we were just walking down 3rd Ave. friendly staff, nice atmosphere, and great Greek food. Don't let the low key cafe look fool you...thus is a high place ( with, unfortunately, high end prices). The lamb dishes were excellent. The wine and beer list were limited but complemented the menu nicely.
