Description: New York's premier contemporary Mediterranean restaurant offering inspired Lebanese cuisine. The menu combines authentic dishes with modern Mediterranean influences to create a culinary journey for the palate and senses. The decor echoes the diverse menu, combining the architectural richness of old Lebanon with a style that's unmistakably New York. Music from around the globe and soft amber lighting create a sexy, sophisticated atmosphere in which to enjoy a relaxed meal. One of "The 8 Best Restaurants for Group Dining in New York", Zagat 2011.ilili is also the ideal destination for events, featuring perfect spaces for any occasion. Event menus range from hors d'oeuvres & cocktails to our signature shared menus for seated dinners.

This appears to be a very popular spot for NY diners, and it certainly seems to have earned it's praise and outstanding reputation. Everything we tried on the menu was very good, (and described as having a Syrian influence) but the: Baba Ghannouj, Fresh pita, Kebab Kerez, Duck Shawarma, Mixed Grill, and Ilili Candy Bar are MUSTS! While the atmosphere is somewhat "generic" (more "Contemporary American" than Middle-Eastern), it is still very nice. The wait-staff are knowledgeable, friendly and attentive- making for a perfect dining experience. I would recommend this spot to anyone- even those who would shy away from Middle-Eastern food!

Lebanese is rare in NYC, I wish it was like London! So this is a good choice in the context. Nice food, properly done, interesting modern deco and good service.

The baba ganoush was bland. The pita bread is home made, but just okay. The falafel appetizer was good and different. Our dinners were not very good, except for a small dollop of tahini. Interesting presentation, but the food doesn't live up to its appearance. The main room of the restaurant and the bar have a cool design. The room where they put couples is not very nice. We were disappointed and will not go back.

This restaurant has a buzz from the moment you walk in. Our host was extremely helpful in guiding us through the menu and the results were superb. Great mezze plates for sharing and wonderful lamb main courses. Staff were very attentive without spoiling your evening. Would recommend a visit to anyone interested in exploring something different

I enjoyed quite a feast at ilili a few months ago. The menu is mostly set up for items to be shared so we tried many things and everything was excellent. The food is not only delicious but also unexpected in terms of flavor combinations. Highlights were the meatballs, brussel sprouts and moussaka but nothing disappointed. The cocktails were imaginative as well as the wine. Our waiter suggested a wonderful Lebanese wine. Service was excellent and the atmosphere is lively, dark, and would be great for a date.
