The Triad is a small theatre tucked above a restaurant on w 72 st. The theatre packs them in but seeing this show there was a real treat. DONT go instead of seeing Hamilton - that's not what it's there for. Do go for fun theatre poking fun at Hamilton and Broadway in general. Definitely worth the visit.

The Triad was really charming. We had done some research so purchased priority seating which we were pleased with. The service staff were thoughtful and timely. The show was cleaver laugh out loud funny, the actors talented and enthusiastic, connected to their audience.

It's as much a spoof of Lin Manuel Miranda as it is of Hamilton the play. It is good natured fun as is probably the only way you could do a spoof of the Great Lin Manuel- since he seems rather humble and does not seem to have a huge ego.

I live two blocks away and never knew this theater existed. Really hard to find so just be on high alert as you walk down 72nd street.

Theater is tiny. I don't think it much matters where you sit. Couches vs chairs is the basic difference. Two drink minimum.

The Daveed Digs character looks a lot like the real man. There is a lot of humor and silliness. But fun.

We had seen Hamilton and were in NYC to see another show so my wife said how about seeing Spamilton and I said of course. What do they say "Happy wife, happy life".She bought tickets, made a dinner reservation and we were set to go. The Triad doesn't stand out and you have to look for it, it's above a restaurant on the south side of 72nd St. between Broadway and Columbus avenues. As you walk up the stairs it starts to look like a theater with lots of movie and theater posters and your mindset changes for the good. They have two types of seats Vip and very good and that's because it's small and I think every seat is a good one. We got seated and lovely people showed us a menu (2 drink minimum) so we ordered. Once the show started it was all fun with very interesting characters that did a very good job entertaining us with a witty song, dance, and script. It was a very enjoyable evening.

We were excited to see our nephew in an off Broadway play. The venue is for small audiences, but we could sit close to the stage to see him close up. The actors make good use of small spaces. The singing was fantastic. Two beverage minimum with many choices plus non alcoholic beverages available. Everyone was friendly.
