Small, charming, pretty, lovely staff, great location. The breakfast and wine hour are nice bonuses. We've stayed there three times and have two more stays scheduled.

The Hotel Elysee is in a great location and we have stayed there several times. The front desk staff could not be friendlier. Continental breakfast and evening wine and cheese are delightful and a huge plus, but it would be nice to have wine available on weekends as well. The rooms are decent size with comfortable beds and nice but small bathrooms.

Room Tip: Rooms facing 54th Street can be a little noisy. Lighting in bathrooms could be improved, and need to...

Hotel Elysee did not disappoint for an instant. We just got back yesterday and I have to say that it was one of the best Hotel experiences I've had.
The room was clean and very pretty. The hotel staff could not do enough for you and always pleasant. It's a very cute, quaint European type of hotel. We were there for 3 nights. They are running a summer special and the prices are WELL worth it.
I don't know what kind of windows they have but you could barely hear the street noise. Slept like a baby.
Great location. Near everything.

We booked the hotel having initially seen it on trip advisor and then recommened in several guide books. We werent disappointed, what a lovely place to return to after the hustle and bustle a days site seeing. The location was great, you may not realize how convenient it is until youve been there a couple of days.
Our first nights sleep was a little disrupted due to the external air con units however we were moved without any hesitation to a higher floor and this was no longer an issue.
The breakfast was plentiful and a good variety and the evening cheese and wine was a lovely touch. We used the discount voucher through trip advisor and so upgraded to a sperior room.
The room was a good size and spotlessly clean.
We would definatley stay there again.

We were so glad we found this beautiful 'little' (by New york standards) hotel. The staff on the front desk were always friendly and helpful and our room was comfortable and well appointed. The big bonus was that not only was breakfast included but there's also a 'Happy Hour' every evening and guests are free to grab a coffee or tea, fresh fruit and biscuits at any time of day. There are a few nice places to eat right nearby including The Monkey Bar and Bill's Gay Nineties piano bar right across the road.
Grand Central Terminal and Central Park are both within walking distance and Metro buses are available at the corner of the street. It's a short walk to St Patrick's Cathedral, The Rockefeller Centre and The Museum Of Modern Art (MOMA).
The only downside was a lack of daylight in the room, the light bulbs were dim and there's some mechanical noise at the back of the building that hums loudly at night.

Me and my housband visited NYC and stayed in the hotel for 10th anniversary. This hotel and the staff made our trip unforgetable. I've mentioned that it's our anniversary, they remembered and did everything to make it really special for us, including a bottle of champaign and choclates. The room is bigger than you can expect in NYC. Ours also had a balcony. Very cozy atmosphere, nice furniture. Great (american) breakfast, 5 o'clock tea in the really nice club-room. The staff and their help in anything any time were amazing. They actually smile all the time and you feel very welcomed. I recommend this hotel to stay in NYC.
