I have been a guest at the Elysee for the past 13 years on a very regular basis, usually several times a year. I have found the staff to be extremely helpful, friendly and client minded - far beyond what one experiences at other hotels. The hotel itself has stayed up to date and over the years has reflected the changes in standard one would expect, whilst never losing its very one of a kind charm. One very unique and positive feature is the lobby on 2nd floor where breakfast and a cheese, crackers and wine sunset hours treat are served in a very relaxed and communication friendly environment. This lobby has created many wonderful contacts and new friends and miraculously transforms strangers into the hotels guests. I travel a lot all over the world and so see a lot of hotels - the Elysee is definitely one of the nicest places to be and the only one to be at when in New York.
