Dear J F,
Thank you so much for staying with us on your last stay in Manhattan! We are truly sorry for any inconvenience as we were upgrading our lobby. Also, we will address and reiterate our customer's service policy to our Night Team. Additionally, we are happy to let you know that all of our work are completed! Please give us another chance. This experience will be much different and the way it should have been. Thank you again for being our Guest and for your feedback!
Plus: Clean, nice to have a separate space from the kids, staff was very professional
Minus: After waiting for 30 minutes (you read that right-30 min!), we gave up waiting for the elevator (and yes, you could hear them running) and walked down 13 floors with our luggage. I will note, this was the only time we had to wait much.
Also, book a place by the park unless you can handle wall-to-wall people 24/7. We were a bit overwhelmed. We have been to Boston, Seattle, San Fran, DC and Chicago and a few European cities. We felt like we could never get away from crazy amounts of people. If you like busy, this will not bother you. No pool.
Thank you so much for staying with us on your last stay in Manhattan! We are happy to hear that you have experience our cleans rooms and the professionalism of our staff! We are so sorry about the elevator. We did had and issue and with reports from other Guest we were able to resolve. You are right the Times Square area can be crowded most of the time. Give us another chance! Thank you so much for your review and feedback!
Located right in Times Square and convenient to all theaters and great dining. The In-house restaurant is satisfactory but New York has so many other great dining options. Rooms are very nice and very quiet. we were on 15th floor and the flashing lighted signs from Times square were noticeable at night but not annoying even with curtains drawn.
Breakfast area was quite congested but adequate.
Thank you so much for staying with us on your last stay in Manhattan! We are so happy that you had an overall great stay! Thank you so much for your detailed review! We do so hope to see you again soon!
Hotel is right on Times Square (and you pay for it!). very good service all around. Satisfactory restaurant but New York abounds with excellent dining options. If have to drive, recommend using the Valet option. Can walk to all theaters easily
Thank you so much for staying with us on your last trip to Manhattan! We are so happy that everything worked out during your stay! Thank you so much for your positive review and your recommendation of our Valet option! Please come back again soon!
For me the Doubletree always has great rooms and this hotel did also. Bed was very comfortable, location cannot be beat if you want to be at Time Square. Had a corner room with great views from both sides. What I don't like about this hotel brand is there is never free coffee in the lobby. Also this one did not even have a bottle of water available which is ridiculous. I had to go to the store across the street for that. Most of the people were nice except the women at the desk who were snooty every time I talked to them. Maybe they could smile?
Thank you so much for staying with us on your last stay in Manhattan! We are happy that you had a great room. So sorry for no coffee in our lobby. We do have coffee for purchase at our Starbucks! Also, we have made it convenient for Guest to make their own coffee or teas in their room. Also, so sorry about your front desk experience! We will use your feedback for improvements with our staff! Thank you again so much! We hope that you give us another try!
I wanted to stay in Times Square so that it was convenient but the hotel was not worth the convenience. I stayed in a room with a king sized bed and pull out couch. The pull out couch was a joke. I had to be moved to another room the next night because the couch was so awful. My head was actually sitting lower than my feet when laying down for bed. The hotel offered us nothing because of the uncomfortable stay.
