“Location Location Location! and Cheap!”
Reviewed 7 May 2014

We stayed at the Park Savoy Hotel 2 - 4 May 2014. Room 414. Room was small but we expected that. The bed was comfortable but had some noisy springs. The shower takes quite a long time to get hot but it does get hot. Bathroom was clean. TV was a small flat screen but it worked well. The carpet is old. We did have a good size closet for such a small room. Staff was friendly. There is nothing else at this hotel other than the room. There is a bar on one side of the hotel and a pizza take out place on the other side. Right down the block is a pretty good size liquor store.
So the most important thing is location. This hotel is one block from central park, just a couple blocks from times square, carnegie hall, 5th avenue, subways, and dozens of great restaurants. Based on the very low price for a hotel in midtown Manhattan, the Park Savoy is a very good hotel if you a just looking for a place to shower and sleep.

Small, clean, windows faced street, lots of city noises at night, loved that. Convenient at midtown; Only problem If big like me, shower is small. When water runs in adjoining room shower temp changes.

Room Tip: Carpet old but clean. I always check for bedbugs (even in top hotels), there were none. Continental...

I stayed here with my grandson April 16th. The room was a large closet. The bathroom was very clean but barely enough room to turn around. The staff were friendly. It had old style radiator heat with no way to control. I would not stay there again. I guess this is what you get for $123.00 per night in New York City.

The location was good, and the staff friendly.
I didn't expect much from the hotel as it was relatively inexpensive, but was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and general appearance of the hotel.
I didn't take advantage of the breakfast so can't comment on that.
Don't book if you expect a fantastic view and room service!
Only disappointed by having to pay a crazy amount for wi fi

New York prices are crazy and we knew we would not be much in the hotel so we went for a cheap hotel in a good location and we knew what to expect.
This modest hotel located just one block from Central Park. For an Hotel in NYC he has a good standard and it workers are Relatively nice. Such a low price should not come with too high expectations. The rooms are very small and I would suggest they change the beds. There's always a guy at the entrance to see who entered. Around the the hotel there is a nice restaurants and good delis . I highly recommend the Italian restaurant "Angelo's Pizza" on the same block on the other side of the building.

We stayed here between Christmas and New Years, and the location was great. It's walking distance to Central Park, Rockefeller Center, Times Square, and many other great NYC attractions. It was a fine place to just crash for the night, but don't expect any amenities.

Some of the disappointing things about the place included the following: (1) When we went to shower, there was no hot water. We had to call the desk and they sent someone up. He told us to keep letting the water run and it should get warm. After about 20 minutes, it did in fact get luke warm. (2) We were told by the clerk at night that a breakfast would be served in the morning from 7-11. He said to get tickets at the front desk and we would be able to get a breakfast next store. At 7 the next morning we went to check out and asked for tickets, and the clerk said they weren't open yet. Upon further questioning he said the business next door wasn't affiliated with them, and he didn't know when they'd open. He offered no apologies or alternatives.

If you're looking for an inexpensive (by NYC standards) place to stay that is conveniently located and offers almost zero amenities, then this is the place.
