“Great location in a renovated boutique style Hotel.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 September 2010

Trendy and clean rooms all renovated, great bathroom. Lot's of details. For instance they give you Kiehl's shampoo. The location is superb: Across Columbus circle, right across Central Park y the upper west.
We found a great deal by booking using Quickbook. Great value!

Booked three nights here at the last minute during fashion week. Super friendly staff! The concierge bent over backwards finding a tailor that could alter a dress I needed in two hours. Also had a great salon rec for a quick bang trim. The hotel is very clean, modern and new. Great sushi restaurant downstairs as well. Rooms are small but didn't bother me at all. It's New York and it just made it feel cozy really.

ive read the other reviews. if u r looking for tons of space, u r in the wrong city. and i have stayed in smaller rooms for more money. this place is now our go-to hotel any time we visit ny. and who needs the loud midtown area when u have the subway station practically at ur doorstep? the bedding was exquisite and the bathrooms were clean, modern and w good water pressure (not always easy to get in ny).

I travel to NYC often, but first time at this hotel. Because of the great location and pleasant staff, will stay here again. Room and bath are small, but efficient and well-designed. I understand some of the concerns voiced by other reviewers, but my experience was good for a solo, short-term business trip. Room desperately needs a lamp on the desk- impossible to do any work in the room as the lighting is all 'mood" lighting and not good for tasks. No iron in the room. I requested one, but did not show up. My room was quiet, mostly due to quiet neighbors, but yes, the walls are thin and you can hear other guests. Staff was cordial and helpful- and some were genuinely charming and funny. I would not call the hotel a hot spot, but it is trying to be trendy in its design style. I was comfortable here and will stay here again- at least as a single traveler. The room would be tight for two people.

Great boutique hotel in NYC! Wonderful staff who were very friendly and helped with every request. The rooms are small, but why are you coming to NYC if you are planning to hang out in your room? They were very clean, well designed, and comfortable. The restaurant downstairs serves breakfast, they only have three choices, but all are very well prepared and delicious. There is a Starbucks right next door if you want to pick up something like a pastry for breakfast instead. I thought it was an amazing hotel and will definitely be staying there again when I return to NYC.

The location is superb...no doubt about that. Most of the rooms are so small that its hard to imagine staying there more then a night. The interior design is not my style and the lights in the room are weak. You might think your in a crypt.
The breakfast is a JOKE. Its performed by the japanes restaurant in the hotel. I ordered a omlette and received it in a bento box. Now thats funny.

All in all i think this hotel is not worth the money. A few 100 meters up the road you is the Library. If chic hotels are ur cup of tea then that should be better for you.
