My three day stay was delightful. Doorman, bellman, front desk, concierge, and last but never least, housekeeping, were excellent, professional, and FRIENDLY. No attitude and super service oriented. Clean, quiet, and very very comfortable--I had everything I wanted. Complementary extras were most thoughtful.

Just spent 2 weeks in NYC for our honeymoon. After much research we decided to stay at The Iroquois. Best decision we ever made. Apart from a smallish room (most in NY are) we loved everything about it. Warm welcoming friendly staff made the stay a joy. Walking in from the cold noisy streets, it was a joy to come into this 'oasis'. Loved the hot apple cider drink after a day of trekking around. The concierge (Vanessa) was a delight and couldn't do enough for us. Great location, a block and a half from Time Square close to 5th Avenue and the subway. Heaps of fantastic (no too touristy) bars and restaurants. Try Becco and Spice Market.

Best luxury hotel find for the dollar, bar is a little expensive, but a great pour for the money.

We loved the location. Very close to everything, but pretty quiet street (as for NYC:). Best place to stay for newcomers.
Really small rooms, even deluxe ones. But it is common things for NYC hotels. Clean rooms and very comfortable bed. Very helpfull staff. We had to change dates of our travel due to baby's illness, and the hotel rebooked new dates for us without any additional charges even tacking into account it was package with special non-returnable rates.
Rooms with street view are better than with courtyard view.

Room Tip: Rooms with street view are better than with court

For the price paid, the Iroquois definitely was a pleasant surprise. Being accustomed to overpriced midtown hotels with micro-sized rooms, snotty staff and uncomfortable beds, the Iroquois was a welcomed change. The rooms were more than adequately sized - not huge, but by NYC standards, just fine. The location is perfect for business midtown. Close to Times Square (but not so close that you'll be annoyed by it) so good for tourists too. The decor of the hotel is more classic than trendy and hip, so if you value style over substance, you may be disappointed.

Overall, I would definitely check out the Iroquois the next time I am in NYC for business or pleasure.

Enjoyed a four-night stay at this gem of a hotel in terrific location with wonderful staff...Wonderful Iva at the front desk welcomed us and was so helpful and friendly throughout our stay. Alan was terrific at the concierge desk and went out of his way to assist us with maps, discussions, tips, and directions. On another day, Vanessa at the concierge desk even gave us a card with her number in case we got lost or needed help. Everyone went out of their way to make our stay lovely and attention to detail was evident throughout. Housekeeping was spotless with turn-down service in the evening. We will recommend the Iroquois to our friends and hope to stay there again!

Room Tip: We had a quiet room at the end of a hall.

Visited NYC for a long weekend March 25-28 to visit kids, grandkids and a Broadway play. First time at the Iroquois and what a great place ! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms are small but very clean and comfortable. Complimentary coffee and newspaper a class touch. The small library is a great place to wait for a spouse, visitors or just read a paper and/or check emails via two free-use computers.
A real plus was the "quietness" from the Times Square madness but only two blocks away ! I plan on staying there next trip and would recommend it to anyone.
(p.s....ask Eddie the doorman about the history of the street and next door Algonquin. You will be in for a treat from a great personality)
