We stayed at the Iroquois for 8 days in Dec 2010/Jan 2011; I admit that was ages ago but I will never forget our experience here. It was fantastic and I tell every Australian going to NYC about this little gem -great hotel, wonderful staff. We stayed 2 extra nights as we got stuck here (thankfully) during the blizzards. It is obvious from recent reviews that the hotel has managed to maintain its great reputation. I'll be back!

Each year when we have a ":Go to NYC" trip we always stay at the Iroquois. The accomodations and hotel personell are wonderful each time, but this year we had some special assistance that we want to recognize. Vanessa Torrellas, Chef Concierge, went way beyond the normal service when she personally walked over to the theater where I had lost my perscription glasses. She found and sent the glasses to me the very same day - now is that something, or what! Thank you Vanessa, I hope that you receive the special recognition that you deserve!

Room Tip: If you like a firm bed, just ask for it.

After reading reviews on this site, we booked this hotel for an eight night stay. There were three of us the first two nights and then just two of us the rest of the time. I had made two reservations and we were going to have to switch rooms but Patrick at the front desk arranged it so we could have two room near each other and my husband and I would not have to change rooms when our son left - the best part - no more cost involved!! So happy over this! One of the rooms was not quite ready so we waited in the lobby for about 30 - 45 minutes. When we got to the room, we had a complimentary bottle of wine and chocolate dipped strawberries waiting for us, wow! Talk about service! The hotel is in a perfect location for the subway and MANY attractions. Bill and the other staff at the hotel were very helpful also, such nice people! Our room was very clean and nice. The service was great and although on the 12th floor, we never had any delays or problems getting an elevator. Especially loved the make up mirror in bathroom and the comfy pillows, not hard and puffy. We really enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Our room was on the top floor and looked out over 44th Street, quiet and comfy.

Just about to leave New York after a four day trip with a friend and making the most of the computer in the library to write a quick review of the hotel. The biggest plus about this hotel is it's location. it is ideally located for all the main attractions - walking distance to Times Square, Empire State, the designer shops (50th to 59th street - my personal favourite!). Central Park is a bit of a treck but a cab only costs about 6USD. The hotel staff are very friendly and professional and made us feel very welcome. Our room (508) was very clean and quiet and although we didnt use all the facilities - mini bar, TV etc - it was nice to have them. Its hard to find anything negative to say about this hotel - I think they've got the service, decor and comfort spot on! Will be sad to leave New York but when I do come back I'll certainly be staying at the Iroquois.

My mum and I enjoyed a weekend in NYC based at the Iroquois which was surprisingly quiet given that it was just around the corner (and down the street) from Times Square. Location-wise it really is great, with just a short walk to the subway, Times Square and the Public Library. The rooms were certainly on the small size but we did have a window for some natural light. The suitcases had to be stored upright between the beds and the walls and when it came time to pack all the shopping finding flat surfaces was a bit of a challenge. The bathroom in comparison was large and spacious with a fabulous shower and although there was not much bench space around the basin, the window ledge came in very handy. The beds were comfortable and the pillows adequate.
Although coffee/tea or hot cider was on offer in the lobby it would have been more convenient to have a kettle in the room - although there wasn't really any spare horizontal surfaces to store it on.

The Iroquois fills the bill if you are looking for a relatively large, beautifully adorned suite in Midtown. It provides excellent value if you stay for three or more days. Staff were very attentive at check-in. We joined the membership club and received a lovely amenity - chocolate dipped strawberries, and a half bottle of wine after check-in. The hotel is in close proximity to Bryant Park as well as the theater district. Highly recommended.

Great 7 night stay in September/October. Staff were fantastic and very willing to help with your requirements. Reception were incredible and knew the city like the back of their hand with quick and accurate directions. Also knew what the best offers to make everything easier. Also gave great recommendations on things I would have never thought to do. Would definitely stay here again
