“Great choice in midtown NYC”

After much research, I chose the Tuscany Hotel for our family vacation over Christmas. I made the decision based on location, TA reviews, room size, and nightly rate. I was not disappointed. The location is an easy walk to Grand Central, Rockefeller Center, Bryant Park, and shopping. The bellman was great at finding us transportation when we didn't want to walk. The room size was amazing for NYC. Our room had 2 Queen beds and lots of space for suitcases, the second room had a King bed with a sitting area. The beds were some of the most comfortable we have ever slept on. The recent room renovation was evident as everything felt updated and modern. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The worst thing I can say about the hotel was the internet was slow. There was some road/traffic noise as our 7th floor rooms faced 39th, but we had a view of the Chrysler Building! A higher floor might have helped. I would stay here again without hesitation.

Room Tip: Higher floor might minimize road noise if you are on the 39th side of the building.

staff is nice and helpful the guy with glasses and the metis woman were very nice
the iced tea is great
bed is comfortable,the area is also close to a lot of things
i will be happy to stay there again

This hotel is not a luxury hotel. It does not have that ethos, and they got a lot of things wrong. For example, we opened the champagne from the minibar to have a glass while getting ready to go out. No champagne flutes in the room, which I can live with, but the champagne itself was corked. We ran it down to the bar to "report" it, and were told that the "minibar manager" was not available. No offer of anything else. Of course, a couple days after we left, they charged our credit card for the champagne. We called back to discuss the issue midday on a Saturday (b/c who has time during a weekday), but the "accounts manager" was not available. I hate stuff like this that wastes my time. Other problems:
- housekeeping rocks out to loud music on the TVs, which wouldn't be so bad, but the room was only half-cleaned, garbages not emptied completely, tables not wiped clean, and an empty bottle of lubricant (I kid you not) left in the bedside table from previous guests.
- we tried to call the front desk a couple of times, for example to ask what was in the fitness room b/c there was no "hotel info" anywhere, and the phone just rang and rang and rang. Every time.
The good things that in my mind don't make up for the bad things:
- they upgraded our room type (dead of winter)
- rooms were quiet (again, dead of winter)
- bed was really comfortable
- close to Grand Central and Zucker's Bagels for breakfast
Overall, things that are supposed to be luxuries ended up wasting a lot of time, which for me is the anti-luxury. This place just doesn't have that "know what they're doing" feel to it.

I would gladly give this place a four plus if possible.

The location is very central and conveniently located three blocks from Grand Central Terminal. The rooms have recently been renovated and are very giant (at least the rooms with two queen beds) by NYC standards.

The property "Tuscany" is small enough to feel really boutique but big enough to have proper amenities.

The service was acceptable but a little "quirky". ie the hotel website online booking was difficult and the pricing/marketing confusing at best. Reaching out to the management quickly recovered that process and they even matched their advertised pricing which was great.

We had a great stay and I would highly recommend this facility to anyone for Business, Solo, couples, or friends. I went as part of a group and everyone enjoyed it very much!

My wife and I stayed here last week and were very impressed. I've traveled to NY many times, and stayed at all types of hotels, and this was among the best. Overall combination of location, price, room and general feel of the hotel was perfect for us. Walked everywhere, including subway stop (2 blocks to Grand Central). Not a lot of amenities, but that's OK with us. We prefer a smaller place that is easy to get in and out of. Good staff, new spacious rooms, mid block location so you don't have all the noise - we will return!

We stayed a Saturday night at the Tuscany. The check in was a breeze. Valet parked our car. The lobby is tastefully decorated. The hotel bar was inviting. The staff is very friendly. Our king sized deluxe room was amazing for the rate we paid. Very, very large by NY standards. The room was immaculate and very quiet. There was a walk in closet and large dressing area. I don't have one complaint about our stay. The Tuscany is now our go to place to stay in the Murray Hill area. They are doing things right here!

This hotel was stunning. I'm used to tiny rooms in NY hotels but this was spacious & beautiful. The linens and bed were super comfy and best of all, the concierge & staff, especially Glenis, who welcomed us back on New Year's Eve with a smile and a snack! Will definitely book here again.
