Our first visit to NYC was made all the better by staying in the Hotel Edison, we really liked that they had a security desk right by the elevators. The hotel was just a few yards off Times Square but despite this the room was quiet. I had emailed prior to arriving to let them know we were first time visitors to the city and when we got to our room there was a hand written card to welcome us to NYC.
The room was very clean and comfy, we expected a small room after reading reviews on all hotels in New York but were pleasantly surprised, the only down side to the hotel was Friedman’s Restaurant which was very expensive and the service wasn’t on par with the Hotel, we paid $50 for French toast and coffee which even by NYC standards seemed a bit expensive, however there are loads of good places to eat right on the doorstep.
I would highly recommend staying at the Hotel EdisonMore
