Hotel has the perfect location, the rooms are huge and the staff is ok. The only problem
I had is that when we decided to book an additional night they put a second $100 on our card. If you want to be in the center of it all without paying a fortune, I recommend this place.

The Millennium Broadway sits right in the heart of the New York City Theatre District in Times Square, and guests are in walking distance to some of New York City's most treasured landmaks (Rock Center, Times Square, and the Broadway Theatre District). I have stayed there multiple times over the years for business and leisure.

While it's location may be desireable for tourists, and business travelers, the hotel is short on amenities. Rooms are clean, well appointed and spacious enough by mid town Manhattan standards. They do not contain in-room coffee maker service, unless arrangements are made with the front desk. There is a restauraunt on the premesis, but if your staying in mid town, there are far better choices right outside your door to suit varying tastes and budgets (Virgil's BBQ, Sardi's, Carmine's, Bella Vita) to name but a few.

What the Millenium lacks is a comfortable lounge/lobby area. There really is no place to sit and read a book or enjoy a crossword puzzle outside of your room.

For vacationers, it's worth staying outside of midtown, and in areas like the upper west size to get a truer feel of Manhattan, get away from the crowds, and enjoy more lodging amenities.

We were assigned this hotel through an online service. Four star quality.
While a few of the reviews were not good when we first looked it up, our experience was as good as it gets. Our room was large, clean and quiet. The staff was extremely helpful and polite.
The location is just fabulous for Broadway and shopping.
Melanie at the front desk granted all of our requests for room location, bed size, etc.
We did not have to wait to check in.
We were there at a fairly quiet time, but it did get busy during our 5-night stay and I thought the hotel was very well run and secure. I will be back!

I stayed here with my brother after a Knicks game and a night out. We arrived very early, around 11am and hoped we could just ditch our bags there due to check in being much later. The clerk was real cool even though he was a nets fan. He hooked us up and gave us a room early. No waiting in the lobby even though it was packed. The room was large with great windows. I would stay here again.

I stayed in the Millennium due to it's proximity to Broadway. I was impressed by the size of the room. For this part of town, it was a good size. While she is showing some age, it is still a great spot at an affordable price.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, especially the concierge and the bell boys. I would stay here again, but next time I will ask for a room that has been renovated in the past year or two.

Having read some of the reviews on here I had reservations about my booking, we had stayed in another 4 star hotel last year nearer central park and thought I may regret my choice however I was pleasantly surprised. We stayed here for 4 nights at the beginning of February 2014 after booking it via lastminute.com in December.

The location seems to be the most positive aspect relayed in these reviews however that was just the start for me. First off the bathroom is very big for an NY hotel, enough for 2 people to comfortably get ready at the same time. Shower was powerful and the bathroom was well lit. The room and bed were equally bigger than expected (king size bed). We had a room on 35th floor on the opposite side of times square so had a scenic view of the Chrysler building with nicely placed comfortable chairs to take in the view. The room was clean and the maids came in on a daily basis to change the towels and bedding.

I've seen some people mention the lack of a big light, however with 3 lamps in the room it was clearly lit as long as they were all on their full setting as they did have a stepped dimmer function. Also the heater may look insufficient but it works, especially when its minus 10 outside, the cooling function also came in handy.

I didn't have to contact the front desk once which is always a sign of a good hotel as there was nothing to complain about, the gentleman who checked us in was polite and accommodating. Equally on checking out they were happy to store our bags for us to do a last bit of sight seeing. We were out all day so didn't use any of the facilities but there is so much nearby you don't need to be constrained to one place.

I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and would recommend it to anyone I know staying in NYC

On arrival at the Hotel, we were very pleased with the location, however the rest of the stay was to say the least a bit less than average. The front desk staff were extremely rude and unhelpful, they appear to have no concept of Customer Service whatsoever, Housekeeping was hit and miss, it became a topic of conversation to see what we would have provided in our bathrooms each day, our room had no spare toilet roll, which we discovered at 3.30am!! Shampoo came in abundance in one room and failed to appear at all in another. The bathroom floor did not appear to have been cleaned. Other things which could have been minor irritations were turned into major instances by the front desk staff who I repeat we're the most rude and obnoxious I have ever come across. As a note of caution, do not have coffee in the lounge it was the most disgusting brew and needed a bank loan to pay for it.
The Concierge and the Gentlemen taking luggage etc we're all very pleasant and helpful the only "Up" point of the stay.
Summary: If you want a great location and you are prepared to put up with mediocre rooms, cleanliness and arrogant rude obnoxious supercilious front desk staff then this is the Hotel for you.

Dear Joannesmith101,

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts regarding your recent stay at the Millennium Broadway.

We hear you loud and clear and average is not what we are striving to be. To serve the best, you need to be the best. Your comments will be shared with those involved so they understand the guests experience when we are not at our finest. We are better. Rude behavior we will not tolerate as with so many choices in New York, the people are the difference.

At the Millennium Broadway we take pride in ensuring our customer’s satisfaction. Unfortunately, we did not meet your—or our own—expectations. Again your comments will be shared to make certain that circumstances such as these do not occur in the future.

Glad to know that the Concierge and Bellmen enhanced your experience. They are a good group and always willing to assist. People are always the difference.

Thank you for choosing the Millennium Broadway and we welcome an opportunity to serve you better in the near future.

Sincerely,

Melanie Turner
