Millennium Broadway New York Times Square
Ranked #283 of 469 Hotels in New York City
Reviewed 16 May 2014

We chose this hotel for our first trip to New York. We opted for the Broadway Suite and ended up on floor 51 with views of Times Square and we could just about see the Empire State Building. The suite was huge with a separate living area which had leather sofa, tv, tea/coffee making facilities, fridge, minibar and separate toilet. The bedroom was a good size with another tv and huge comfy king size bed. The bathroom was ok but the bath was a bit shallow so only the option of a shower. We used housekeeping on a number of occasions and they were very quick at meeting our requests for extra tea bags, robes, that type of thing.
The main lobby is very lavish and has free wi-fi with a small seating area. We ate at the Charlotte restaurant on the first morning and the breakfast buffet was very good, a bit on the expensive side.
The location could not be any better, right next to Times Square but just off the hustle and bustle on W44th St. The subway at 42nd St is a 5 min walk past Good morning america studios. And Central Park is a short walk up 7th ave. Perfect location.
I'd recommend this hotel to anyone and will certainly be using it when we next come back

I felt like I was in Vegas not in NYC. Very large hotels, around 30 elevators, you have to wait many times for a few good minutes for an elevator to arrive.

It is more like a small city than a hotel, the only good thing about it is the location.

We stayed at this hotel back in March for our first trip to the states for me and my Partner. We stayed on the 49th Floor - Room 4918. This was a lovely room in a free in room safe. It was a corner room with 2 windows. It had a queen size bed, Armchair, Large TV, Large desk with leather desk chair. The room had a and iron and board, Minibar (stocked & overpriced) & tea & coffee making facilities.
I have stayed with the Millennium & Copthorne hotel chain in the UK and this lived up to the standards over here. The staff were very friendly and very helpful.
If staying in New York again I would try and stayed again.

Room Tip: Ask for a corner room on a high floor.

The bed was comfy and the location was perfect - what more do you need? There's a Starbucks and a deli just outside the hotel doors to grab breakfast and start your day in NYC. Right off Times Square but you couldn't hear it when trying to sleep. Clean place but we did have some trouble getting housekeeping to come to our room every day. Otherwise, I had an excellent experience. This is the closest hotel to the theater showing Hedwig and the Angry Inch starring Neil Patrick Harris, which is AMAZING.

We were in the Premium section of this hotel and had a wonderful experience. Cocktails in the evening and a great continental breakfast in the morning were included. Large room by New York standards and very friendly and helpful staff- parking lot right across the street - easy walking to shows

Extremely rude front desk staff -MITI. Tried to enquire about check in and city information but he was unfriendly, unwilling to help. Was just told to return at 4pm and store luggage. I was the only one at the front desk and it was not even a busy period. Even the bellboy gave more information. Will never return to stay with such poor service.

If you want to be in Times Square, you cannot go wrong in this location.

The room I stayed in was large and comfortable. There was enough space to add an extra bed and still have walking space. Everything was reasonably clean and worked well. No complaints.

Room service was adequate, if a bit pricey. Wi-fi is chargeable and expensive. My mobile phone on T-Mobile had difficulty working in the room, this made it hard to keep in contact with colleagues on whatsapp and so on.

Lifts are very slow though, and with large tour groups, you have to wait for an empty lift. Having engagements with colleagues made this bothersome.

Staff were suitably polite and suitably distant for big city folk. This is New York.

Dear worddict,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with the Millennium Broadway Hotel New York.

While nothing to complain about is good we would prefer to give you something to rave about!

Charge for the internet? True…but for your convenience you do get up to four (4) devices and remember that Wi-Fi in the lobby level of the hotel is complimentary. Nice……..

Sometimes with the business of the hotel, the elevators will take a little extra time. Hope it did not inconvenience you too much.

Thank you for choosing the hotel with the best location ever!!!!!!!! Next time, let me help with the planning. Just contact me directly and it will be my pleasure to assist.

Again thank you for choosing the Millennium Broadway Hotel New York and we welcome an opportunity to serve you again in the near future.

Sincerely,

Melanie Turner
