This was our first time to stay in this hotel and won't be our last. The hotel is within easy walking distance to All the action in Times Square, the Theater district and subway stations. It also has lots of very nice mom and pop type of restaurants right handy with attractive prices. The rooms were a nice size for NYC hotels and were clean and well decorated. I liked the Art Deco look.
The staff was helpful and service was excellent.

Room Tip: We were on the second floor at the back and there was NO view. We kept the blinds closed so we didn...

2nd time in NYC and again at the Belvedere. The location is great for the Times Square area. Markets, pharmacies and trains are right there. The big lights are one block east. price is on par with the season and location. The only things, and they were not enough to make a formal complaints were, I ran out of hot water in the shower on two of the four mornings (in prime morning time) and there are still not enough ledges in the bathroom for STUFF. All good!

My daughter and I stayed at the Belvedere (on recommendation from a friend) for four nights in June 2014. Great location - close to Times Square, Broadway shows, subways, restaurants. The staff was EXCELLENT - very courteous, helpful and accommodating. Room was quiet (even though we were faced the street) and clean. The microwave, fridge and in-room safe were added bonuses. Only down side was that we had to pay each day for Wi-Fi. Would definitely stay here again.

If you visit New York City to enjoy one of the many great shows currently playing on Broadway, this is the place to stay. The Belvedere Hotel is located in the heart of the Broadway experience. We attended two shows, and both were within a short walk from the hotel. Less than a 10 or 15 minute walk and we were there. In addition, the hotel staff will go out of their way to make you feel at home. From the time of your arrival at the front door and are greeted by the doorman, to the bellhops, and reception, the personnel are friendly and professional. My wife fell on the uneven streets in New York City, and the staff went out of their way to insure that her every need was accommodated. Hotel only offers breakfast in their restaurant so I would recommend going to the Patzeria. The Patzeria is only about 50 feet from the front of the hotel. They offer breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Belvedere offers clean rooms, beautiful lobby, and an excellent location and as I said a fantastic staff. Overnight parking is provided at additional cost if you drive. A great location, a great value, and a hotel that you will visit time and time again while in New York City. I know we have.

Checked in for 1 night at Belvedere. Was assigned to a room on the 9th floor. Thought it was alright but was very disappointed that there was no Wifi service available and guests have to pay for WiFi (even the fast food restaurant down the street was offering free WiFi).

Room was fairly clean but a little aged. The fridge was making loud noises when it was powered on. Found that the lack of electrical sockets near the bed was a hassle for guests trying to charge our mobile phones. We had to use the 2 sockets at the pantry area to do the charging for multiple devices.

Worst experience came the next morning, when there was drilling and hacking noise on the same level. When we pop our heads out, we realised that they were doing some major over haul on the 9th floor just next door to our room. We were very disappointed that we were not given any heads up on the renovation and even so the hotel shouldn't assign any rooms to guests given the amount of noise and workers moving along the corridor.

We have met many friendly people during our trip, but the staffs at the hotel were definitely not one of them. The only good thing about the hotel is their location, it is situated within walking distance to good restaurants and shopping.

Dear Vinthemanhuang,
Thank you for commenting on your recent stay at the Belvedere Hotel. I’m sorry for any inconvenience that may have been caused by the internet outage during your stay. We had a temporary outage for four hours earlier this week caused by an upgrade to our system. This was unexpected and we immediately had our technicians troubleshoot and restore service.
I also apologize for any disruption due to our renovation. We schedule our work to have the least impact on our guests and we isolate the rooms being worked on. The outlets are being addressed in our room renovation project and several outlets have been added at the desk and nightstand locations.
Thanks again for your feedback and I hope you will visit us again soon.

Almost do not want to share this because it is such a good find :). Half a block from restaurant avenue, 8th Ave., and five blocks from Time Square. Clean, quiet but active, friendly, easy to get to, safe, and AFFORDABLE. Walking distance to Theatre district and Times square. Arrived on a Thursday around noon room was ready. Fifth floor corner room, small kitchenette as a separate room with sink, mini fridge, microwave, counter space, and 4 cup coffeemaker. Plenty of small markets around to get food. Clean bathroom however no counter space, extended shower curtain that gave a roomy feel, and hot water. Clean, comfortable beds and linens. Window air conditioning unit did the job on humid days. Desk. Wifi costs. Plenty of windows, overlooked neighboring buildings. I will definitely stay here again, felt safe - three females - two adult and one child. I think we flipped a breaker while there, 2 blow drys and microwave at same time....what was I thinking, their response was within 10 minutes to restore electricity. There is a single elevator at the end of the hall that is rarely used so we had no waiting time.

Room Tip: If you want a view ask for rooms facing 48th avenue.

We chose this hotel as it is the venue for a conference I am attending. We arrived very tired and frazzled after flying from Sydney to Los Angeles then onwards to New York. The reception staff are excellent and the bell boy brought up our bags with the minimum of fuss. Breakfast good value and staff are attentive. This hotel lives up to expectations ...what you imagine you'll see when looking on line is what you get.

Room Tip: You get what you pay for ;)
