“Clean, comfortable room and great location!”
Reviewed 21 August 2014

Friendly helpful staff, great location, within walking distance of Times Square, Broadway, Empire State Building. Lots of restaurants. Had a room with a fridge, microwave, coffee maker. Everything we needed. Would definitely stay there again.

My Wife and I just came back from a 5 night stay at this hotel. The staff there were very friendly and helpful from check-in to check-out. We stayed in an executive king room on the 16th floor with a view uptown. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, the only thing you could say was the a/c was quite loud but it did drown out the city noise so it actually helped us sleep. The location is minutes from almost all transit, Times Square, Central Park, and Broadway shows. Also, the concierge booked us some wonderful reservations and gave us very easy directions to a couple locations. All in all a great stay.

Our Executive King room at the Belvedere was nicely appointed, clean and appeared to be recently renovated. Front south corner room had 2 windows with decent views. Bed was very comfortable and staff were pleasant but doormen could have been more attentive & welcoming. Limited restaurant services with no printed menu. Location was convenient to Times Square but a bit too far from other attractions. Pricing was reasonable for New York and felt safe walking in location. While we had a good experience, we would try another hotel on south-side of Times Square though we realize it will cost more.

On our way back home and would like to take a minute to write about your wonderful hotel! There were 3 things that stood out for us: staff, cleanliness, location.

The staff was so friendly and beyond helpful. Your bell hop David was fabulous. Always there to help and super friendly.

The hotel itself was super clean. We had a king room that over looked the city on the 11th floor and it was excellent. The room was very quiet. It was also a bonus to have a fridge, microwave and extra sink in the room. The bed was also very comfortable.

The location was awesome. It was just about a 5-10 min walk to the heart of time square and 5 minutes from the subway.
We even walked to the empire state building which was about 25 minutes or so. It was nice to take in the hustle and bustle of the city instead of taking the subway all of the time.

In conclusion we would highly recommend this hotel!!!!!!! Do not pass this up.

We stayed at the Belvedere Hotel for 4 nights, and it was one of my best hotel experiences. The location is awesome, it seemed like everything we wanted to go to was within walking distance. Times Square is less than a 5 minute walk, plenty of theaters are close by, and some really great restaurants too. Some of the great places to eat that were close by are Virgils, the Shake Shack and Guy Ferrari’s restaurant. The staff were incredibly accommodating and helpful. The room was lovely, quite large, and very clean. The concierges at the information booth in the lobby were really great and helped us on nearly a daily basis in understanding how to get to and from points of interest (especially understanding if we should take the metro to some of our destinations). I would absolutely recommend this hotel, and I hope everyone has as great a stay as we did here!

Been there tree times and every time it was good not to say excellent. I'm going back to New York next year and yes, again The Belvedere. No cheap but fair. Very well positioned near Times Square and Broadway.

From reviews on Tripadvisor and a recommendation from a work colleague, we booked The Belvedere for our 10 NYC trip and have no real complaints!

Pros:
- Location is awesome: Walking distance to Central Park, Times Square, Theatre District, Radio City, Rockefeller Center and more
- Numerous restaurants and various subway stations in the area
- Executive suite (#801) was clean, decent views, corner suite, air conditioned and comfy king bed and pillows
- Staff was very helpful and friendly. Insomuch, we accidentally placed our “Do Not Disturb” door handle placard on backwards for the evening to “Please Clean Room” and received a knock on the door less than 15 minutes from housekeeping to see if everything was okay (whoops).
- Check-in and check-out went seamlessly

Con:
- Limited Wi-Fi connection in our suite; however, the access point is down the hall on the 8th floor so this is understandable. Other than that, we had a very pleasant experience at The Belvedere.

Recommendation: Donna Bell’s Bake Shop one block behind The Belvedere (West 49th St) for yummy, inexpensive, breakfast coffee and sandwich before you go sightseeing.
