We always stay at the Michelangelo when we are in NYC. For my husband and I, it is a home away from home. The staff are warm, friendly and accommodating, the rooms are elegant and clean, the location in midtown is perfect for our interests: walking distance to museums, theaters, Central Park, shopping, and great restaurants. We appreciate special touches, like the Sunday times outside our door, the very knowledgable concierge, a cozy lobby with a small restaurant, turndown service complete with Belgian chocolates on our pillows.

I've been staying at the Michelangelo since the mid-1990s and it's always like coming home. Everyone from the doormen and bell staff to the front desk staff is warm and welcoming. They're masters of personal service and attention to detail. Very accommodating and wonderful attitudes. Location cannot be beat. Close to Broadway shows and across the street from one of NY's finest restaurants. A block from Radio City Music Hall. Great for business and sightseeing vacationers. Rooms are continually updated and the most spacious in the city. The hotel can be completely sold out, yet it never seems busy, crowded or noisy. The staff always has time to cater to any request with a smile. Utmost professionals!

Had the pleasure of staying at the Michelangelo Hotel over this weekend. They have remodeled the hotel and it is the perfect place to stay if your reason for visiting New York is the theatre district. Its beautiful inside and the staff works very hard to make sure your stay is what you wanted it to be. We stayed in a beautiful suite on the 5th floor. It was unbelievably quiet considering the madness that occurs at all hours less than 100 yards away. The amenities in the room were top notch. The beds were clean and comfortable and the TV's had free HBO and Showtime. But why you would stay here is location, location, location. You are always a short walk to all of the theatres. You are across the street from arguably the #1 restaurant in the city, Le Bernadin. The dining area leaves a bit to be desired but you are in the city with thousands of great restaurants. Why waste one in your hotel? Free coffee and muffins in the morning get you started and then you are on your way. For the money, I don't think you can beat it

stayed here twice; very well appointed traditional rooms. very courteous staff ( for NY!) stadard room is a decent size for NY, the suites are , surprisingly contemporary decor. very conveneient to mid town , lots of good restaurants nearby. have not eaten at the hotel. as it is part of an Italian based chain, you can see the Eurpean influence.

Room Tip: face 51st St side- less traffic noise

We stayed here in November and then again in February and both times we were very happy with the quietness and cleanliness of our rooms. The first time we were upgraded and had a suite with a sitting area and a separate bedroom. More room than we needed but definitely appreciated. The staff was very welcoming and were available if we had questions or wanted extra pillows, etc. The continental breakfast was good in the morning being we were just looking for some coffee and pastries. There is a restaurant on the lobby level for anyone that wants a hot breakfast and the ability to order off a menu. We were in walking distance of great shopping, plenty of restaurant/bar choices, Broadway shows as well as Times Square. Would definitely stay here again.
