..... we weren't so lucky.
We were placed on the second floor, directly above what was something like an all-night convenience store. Super depressing to look out the window-- we kept curtains shut. There was, however, a fair amount of noise. Asked for room to be changed, and they said the only thing they had was a smoking room. This seems to be common at some hotels-- they place you in the worst room on the lowest floor and when you ask to change rooms, there's only smoking rooms available. Perhaps only extremely Coincidentally, this usually happens when the hotel stay is booked through an internet discount carrier. Often, The Bentley comes up as a low-cost internet choice. It is probably because of the location-- far to the east-- right next to the FDR Drive, aka, the highway. If you have one of the higher floors, either looking out over the river or Manhattan, I am sure it is very nice.
The lobby is cool-- a lot of modern style furniture in the lobby.

Awful hotel with rude staff! We were positioned on the 17th floor where we had no hot water. We advised reception, who told us just to run the tap for a while and we would get hot water. Eventually after half an hour we go hot water. We complained every day of the stay where they kept telling us it was fixed. On complaining to the manager again she said her staff had checked it and said we had hot water so we must be lying!! She compensated us with a free buffet breakfast all of which was overcooked and disgusting...

The rooms are very noisy and you can hear conversations of other guests and housekeeping staff.
The hotel is positioned near a hospital and a busy intersection and you hear sirens and traffic constantly!
On asking reception for a transfer to the airport the next day they informed me they didnt offer this service. the next day when checking out the bell boy asked if we had transport booked or if he wanted reception to book it for us. we informed him that we had been told we couldn't book the transport, he informed us this was wrong and they could.
Staff do not want to help you! Manager unfriendly and rude. Service the worst I've experienced.

What a joke this hotel is so overpriced its actually laughable. Too start is miles away from everywhere you want to visit, u have to pay for taxis or get the subway unless u want very sore souls on your feet, the rooms are tiny I mean the littlest I've ever stayed in, the bed is obviously little in the small room, the sockets don't work to plug ur iron in then when u balance it in that does not work, with sockets not working you can't dry ur hair with the hair dryer or anything, moving on to the shower an bath oh the fun of them, the plug doesn't work in the bath an as for the shower you have freezing cold or burny hot take your pick. So to summarise, this hotel is overpriced, out of the way, very scruffy, the shower an bath don't work also the sockets oh and just to add the view is awful looking into other peoples apartments because there's a big cloth blind, if you want to be ripped off an sorely disappointed then the Bentley is definitely for you!!

this is my first ever review on a hotel and it is a honest and accurate one. i feel the need to inform other people/travellers/tourists so they don't make the same mistake me and my fiancée made when booking this hotel (THE BENTLEY NYC). right were to start, firstly this hotel is not in a good location if you don't mind walking a lot or getting taxis or using the subway then its fine. The hotel comes across as classy and stylish but its the complete opposite its small, shabby, dated and very morbid. The views are exaggerated and played on to attract custom. The rooms are so tiny and the interior is scruffy, the bathroom is disgusting and the shower is from 1950's the bed is also very small. I believed the hype and reviews and was badly let down so don't make the mistake we did.

Great views,we stayed 3 nights and would recomend this hotel as being a clean and comfortable place with helpful and friendly staff. King bed comfortable, bathroom clean.Ideal location for many of New Yorks famous attractions. We stayed on floor 20 and floor 19 and didnt have an issue with the traffic on the FDR or the 59TH St bridge. Coffee in the morning in room with amazing views of the bridge and Roosevelt Island, when lit up at night-even better.Elevators a bit slow during peak usage periods is the only thing I can think of that could be frustrating if in a rush. A very pleasant stay.Thank you very much.

Excellent Hotel, stayed during thanksgiving last year and got an excellent deal...the rooms were excellent...a nice boutique hotel on the upper east side..though the surrounding area was boring to say the least, it's still refreshing to have quiet, in a noisy city like NYC...the staff was extremely pleasant ..and even got a complimentary bottle of wine from the manager ..was very sweet of them...for the price..this was an excellent hotel...and will definitely return and stay here again...

Located on E. 62nd hard by the FDR Drive, the Bentley offers good accommodations at a reasonable costs. From a look at the outside and lobby, one might think that the rooms were nothing special. But this is not true. Our room was a beautiful small suite with stylish modern furnishings. Flat screens in each room were nice. The only downside that we could see in our brief stay was that the location was not a quiet one. The street noise below and the noise from the FDR Drive might be distracting to light sleepers. Otherwise, friendly service and nice rooms at a reasonable price.
