Wellington Hotel is a really well located Hotel. The check-in was fast. The room was cleaned everyday, the beds are confortable and the shower works perfectly. For me, these points are the most important so the hotel was perfect for my need!

One slightly bad point was a group of teenagers that were sleeping for 2 nights in the room beside mine and they were really loud at night!

Room Tip: I think most of the rooms are alike.

Twice in 18 months we stayed at the Wellington Hotel. Upon arrival and checkin everything went well. However when we got to our room we were not happy with it as it was one of the older rooms. We asked if we could have another option of room and Mike and his team did an awesome job to find us a more up to date and comfortable room. We stayed at thee hotel for 21 nights and our friends stayed with us for the first 14. We had a marvellous time. Staff were always friendly and courteous, daily room service was perfect, and 'honest'. And the staff, in particular young Mike, were friendly, accommodating, and usually went beyond normal levels to assist, and advise us. We will definitely stay with the Wellington again as it is perfect for location (3 blocks from Central Park, 12 blocks from Times Square, diner in the lobby open till late, and subway station directly underneath). How could you go wrong?!?! We can't wait to go back. We thoroughly recommend the Wellington Hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a room which has been recently renovated and unless you want a view of 7th Ave, stay in a ro...

Stayed in this hotel for three nights before going on to Columbus, July 2014. The first room we were brought to the smell was terrible, so we got moved to a different room. It was only ok, definitely not worth the money. Room was tiny, bathroom was claustrophobic it was so small. Girls on reception were pleasant enough. Location was very good. Personally I would never stay there again.

Room Tip: Don't go for a standard room.

My wife and i spent 11 days in New York and stayed at the Wellington Hotel.
Our room was on the 10th floor with a view of the street.
The rooms are small but spacious with everything you would need. The location is perfect, only 5 minute walk to Central Park and only 10 minute walk to Times Square, you really are in the middle of everything! The staff are all very helpful and friendly.
The subway is right outside the hotel on 55 street and links you to all of Manhattan! We recommend the MetroCard for 7 days, this is only $30 and is great value!
We would definately stay here again, this hotel is all you need for New York!

Room Tip: Do not have a front road facing room as the street noise is loud at all times

Me and my daughter has spent 3 weeks in USA so this hotel should be the last one before our flight back home , so just one night . We got to the room , soooo dark so i was afraid to open the closet , then looked closer so it was dust all over and some yellow stains but when i have opened the bathroom , we have decided to run away from this hotel.I could not get the money back but even though , i could never ever sleep there , we went to Hilton instead. DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL , even the taxi driver told me that this is not even the 3rd class hotel .

I have stayed here twice over the past 3 months, once in a large two-bedroom suite and once in a 'normal room' - one double and one single bed.

It is a very nice hotel, in a great location, and usually with well-priced rooms. Like most NYC hotels it charges extra for wifi, which does annoy me as it really is nickle-and-dime over-charging, but otherwise I do really enjoy the place. Quiet for a NYC hotel, easy walking to the Park and also just 6 blocks down 7th Ave to Times Square; clean rooms, generally well maintained, and with friendly staff. Wish the room came with a coffee maker, but my room had a small kitchen if you wanted to use it. I give the room 7.5/10, the hotel overall (including location and staff) 8,0/10 for overall value.

Room Tip: Higher rooms are definitely quieter; inward-facing are quietest if you want that.
