This was my first (and likely last) time at this hotel.
I just stayed there for a few hours after a long flight in order to rest and get some sleep. My room (411) was extremely noisy because of 1) very loud AC fan, 2) vending plus ice machines right outside the room, 3) proximity to the lifts, and 4) lots of noise from the street (there is a fire station nearby).
What's disappointing is that a checkout no-one asked if I had a good; almost like they were not interested. Overall not a good stay for $300 per night

We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Times Square from May 30-June 2. The hotel is conveniently located on 8th ave, less than a five minute walk to Times Square. We walked to the Top of the Rock, TKTS booth, restaurants, Toys R Us, and to a Broadway musical from the hotel. There are also train stations (C, E, 1, etc) at 50th, which is only a few blocks away from the hotel. We used the train to go to Battery Park (#1) to take the ferry to the Statue of Liberty and also to go to the American Museum of Natural History (train C).

I called the hotel ahead of time and asked for a room with a view. We were given a room on the 10th floor with a great view of 8th ave.

Even on the 10th floor, we could hear the rumble of the train. We actually didn't hear it until the morning we were leaving, so it wasn't an issue. It could have been that some local trains were not running during the weekend of our visit, so maybe that's why we didn't hear it until the last day of our trip. Not sure.

Check-in and check-out were both quick.

The hotel is clean and the beds are comfortable. Housekeeping did a superb job cleaning our room each day.

The Food Emporium a few steps away from the hotel sells fresh fruit and croissants, which came in handy because we didn't want to waste too much time on breakfast.

On the way to the airport, the hotel called a car service that offered a flat rate. Because we were leaving during the morning rush hour, this actually saved us money, rather than taking a metered cab ride to LaGuardia.

We enjoyed our stay!

This hotel is very centralized. The hotel is clean with queen sized beds (a great benefit when travelling with a family). Staff is helpful and for New York the price is reasonable. It is close to Times Square and right around the corner from the subway. Free Starbuck's coffee and a nice sitting area in the lobby.

In NYC for a family wedding. Chose to stay at the Garden on HHonors points. One of the largest hotel rooms I've ever had in Manhattan. Clean and well kept, friendly staff. We arrived early and room was not ready. The desk clerk took my cell phone number and we checked our bags before heading out to do some shopping. Came back about 30 minutes before posted check-in time and were told the room still wasn't ready. About 3:10 PM I went up and asked another person how long it would be and was told that the room had been ready for a while. Never received a call or was called back to the desk even though we were sitting right across from it in the lobby. This was the only hiccup in an otherwise perfect stay.

Room Tip: Even numbered rooms face Eighth Avenue. Odd numbered rooms are on the back of the property.

We checked in for three days from May 27th to May 29th 2014. Front desk staff was good and the attached bar, Pigalle, had a great happy hour (3-6pm) with specials !

The area is close to Times Square and local attractions. The rooms were clean and my room (1502) corner with King bed was quite large for New York standards.

The concierge, Jules, was always informative for directions and meals and the Guest Services manager, Tenille Boyd, was quite helpful with a small issue that was cared for promptly. I would certainly return here and the price was reasonable for the area.

Room Tip: High floor, just for the view !!

Just returned from a 5 night stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Times Square. We were extremely happy with every aspect of our time in the HGI Times Square. All the staff were friendly and helpful, our room was clean, spacious and well equipped and the location was ideal for walking to Times Square, 5th Avenue and Central Park. Little touches like the fridge and microwave in the room made a real difference, offering a cheaper alternative to always eating out and giving flexibility, particularly for breakfast without having to venture far from the super comfortable bed. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

We stayed here for a full week and we enjoyed very much our time at the Hotel. But the best part was its staff's efforts in meeting our needs. Joanna, the Guest Experience Manager and Tennile, Director of Guest Experience, were kind and patience and provided us with lots of helpful information for our first stay in NYC. We cannot thank them enough!

We used the Carmel Limo for trips from and to Newark airport and it was very nice! The pedicab ride at the central park was memorable and the visit to Chelsea Market and the easy walk on the nearby High-Line is not to be missed. We also visited the NY Botanical Garden at Bronx and it was totally worth it!

For dinner, our visit to Colicchio & Sons - Tap Room near Chelsea Market was enjoyable and if you can get the table, definitely try out Mario Batali's Babbo Ristorante‏ in Greenwich Village. For a quick bite or late night food, we also enjoyed the corner pizza place 'Carve' a couple blocks south of the Hotel.

Overall, a wonderful stay and a special thank-you to Joanna!
