The room was very large and clean. The location was very convenient for walking to train, MOMA, etc. The fitness center was great! Actual free weights, clean with nice equipment in good working order. The staff was friendly and helpful.

We stayed from 5/31 through 6/3. We were able to check in immediately (at 12:30). The room was nice and clean (albeit small -- but what do you expect from Manhattan?). The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. When we found ourselves with leftovers from a restaurant they were able to provide a microwave and refrigerator upon request at no extra charge. They also offered to give us a wake-up call when they learned of our middle-of-the-night departure to catch an early plane. The location was excellent.

We stayed here for the weekend. It was a large well appointed room and was very clean. Walking distance to Times Square, Central Park etc. Staff were very friendly. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. The Duane Reade store next door was very handy for cheap snacks etc. too.

I accompanied my husband on a work-related overnight visit to New York City. The Midtown East Courtyard by Marriott was very near the location of his early Friday-morning meeting, and afforded me easy walking access the the Museum of Modern Art while he worked in the hotel room Thursday afternoon to prepare for his meeting. The relatively spacious and immaculate room on the 24th floor provided him with comfortable conditions in which to work, although, even that high up, the noise of Midtown streets was inescapable. Staff was friendly and professional. Only small glitch was that it took quite a while for the water in our shower/sink to achieve warmth (never quite made it to hot), perhaps because it had a long way to travel up to the 24th floor? Slightly more irksome was that when we retrieved our car via valet parking (be sure to call 1/2-hour ahead, as we were and you will be advised), all of the side mirror and driver's seat positions had been significantly changed (I can understand moving the seat back and forth to accommodate different leg lengths, but was it really necessary to adjust tilt and reclining?), making it even more of a challenge for this non-City driver to get back on the road after our stay.

We were vacationing in the city for 5 days and stayed at the Courtyard. Our room was large, clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had a problem with our air conditioning the first night and they gave us breakfast, which was great! Fresh made omelettes, waffles and pancakes. The hotel is in a great location within walking distance to Rockefeller Center and Times Square. There is a subway station on the corner. I would definately recommend this hotel to everyone.

Vacationing in NY. Very clean and very quiet (18th floor). We had our two kids and there was plenty of room to unwind after a busy day of sightseeing. Close to everything - walking distance to Broadway, Times Square and Central Park, even with a 5 year old. I liked it because it was close to, but not in the middle of everything - a more quiet location. Staff was excellent and very helpful. John, the concierge, couldn't have been nicer and more informative. This was our first trip to NY and kind of last minute, so we didn't really know how to go about getting around the city, and John gave us excellent directions and advice. We would definitely stay here again.

I've stayed at quite a few hotels over the years, including many Courtyards. This experience is well above what I'm used to seeing.

First, the room: They're huge for NYC! Even larger than a normal Courtyard room. They're also larger than most NYC apartments, which made one of my NYC friends a bit jealous when he saw it. The room was very clean, had a mini-fridge (awesome!), nice desk & sitting area. Hot water was delightfully hot, and as with all NYC water, cold water from the tap was refreshing on a hot day. AC worked well (this isn't always the case in many NYC hotels). Beds were very comfortable. And no noise! I've stayed at far pricier hotels in NYC but this was one of the quietest.

Staff: Very friendly and helpful. No matter the request, they were always smiling and warm. Front desk was usually busy but no waiting or lines. Wake-up calls were punctual.

Location: You can't beat this. Literally, there's a 24/7 Duane Reade (pharmacy/chemist) store next door, which now has some groceries and fresh food. The entrance to the 51st/53rd & Lexington subway station is right outside the door, no need to even cross the street. This provides access to the 4,6,M,E subway lines. You're on 3rd Ave which has plenty of great restaurants. There are also many restaurants on the block. 1 block to the east is a supermarket.

Common areas: Elevators were good for NYC, no major waiting at peak times. 12th floor sky-lobby is a good place to sit and relax while overlooking the streets below.

Overall, a great stay. You can certainly do much worse for the price in NYC.

Room Tip: Try to get a higher room with south view. At night you can see the Chrysler Building without leavin...
