Located on mid-Manhattan, the hotel is not big but feature many amenities that bigger hotels do not offer, such as complimentary continental breakfast (although the breakfast room gets crowded later in the morning) and free wireless internet access. Hotel staff is very friendly and rooms are well-equipped and comfortable.

Booked here due to a good rate for NYC. Ended up enjoying the experience nicely. Very clean, nicely decorated room. Good free continental breakfast (although the basement room isn't so special). Staff was mildly pleasant, but you don't really need to interact with them anyway. Great location for the price. Not a fan of the Tempur-Pedic bed, but it was OK. Best of all - free wireless internet!

ramada inn eastside - 3 nights holiday weekend
pros:
convenient location - 2 short blocks from #6 train; walk distance to penn station, many restaurants nearby
comfortable beds, one of the best hotel beds I've ever slept in.
clean, functional rooms; recent renovation; plenty hot water; good free breakfast;
good maintenance service all hours; friendly staff
good rates ($169 dbl, $149 single), I booked 6 weeks in advance through their 800#, they were very helpful.

cons
keep your confirmation, upon chk out, my room rate had to be adjusted, a billing error, I had my original confirm, they honored it. Could be stressful if you're in a hurry to leave.

room 711 was a little noisy on a work day, it faced lexington av. (7th floor). room 714 (a double room) was not noisy, near elevator, go figure

Overall, an excellent choice for visiting NYC, you'll need to walk/train/cab to visit sites.

8 nights on this hotel, and absolutely nothing to complain about.
The room was nice and clean, although a bit tiny, but hey who cares.
Breakfast was a treat as i enjoyed my daily Fruit Loops, donut and bagel.
Would recommend this to everyone who needs a decent hotel in NYC.

We took a reservation here because it was cheap ($160 on-line) but would have stayed longer if we could. the place was roomier than expected, newly remodeled, and very clean. The location (30th and Lexington) is super convenient, too. Not only that, but free WiFi and breakfast is included! We (my wife and I) thought this was an exceptional value for New York City and will certainly stay hear again.

My 21-year old daughter and I just came back from a great trip to NYC. This hotel, although not in the heart of the action of Times Square, is only a 5-10 minute walk to the subway and about a 25-30 minute walk to Times Square. After walking all day, we looked forward to coming back to the most comfortable bed we have EVER slept in. The neighbourhood is nice and quiet. The hotel is very clean and the staff was very nice. Our room was a decent size and again the bed was incredibly comfortable. Our room and bathroom were very clean and the shower was great! The door to the bathroom was quite soundproof. The continental breakfast consisted of coffee/tea, juices, bagels, donuts, cereals, yogurt, waffles/pancakes, fresh fruits - great to start off the day. We shared a shuttle van from Newark right to our hotel for $17 each (Go Airlink NYC) and $18 each from our hotel doors back to the airport. The elevators are a bit slow, but who cares - we were not in a rush! We got a decent on-line booking rate, and would both definitely stay at this hotel again.

Great location in quiet Murray Hill neighborhood- 5 min walk to Empire State, Macy's. Lots of restaurants nearby. Helpful staff. Large room- very surprising for NYC- clean, continental breakfast was decent but breakfast room gets very crowded. I would recommend this hotel to friends, family and stay here again- good value
