“Great location, fantastic breakfast, friedly staff”
Reviewed 7 August 2011

We were 4 persons and that was OK, but beds are not that big. The hotel has a great location near to 34th Street, Macy and Empire State Building. The entrance to the subway is just outside the door. The room was clean, but it's dark and a little old fashion. Bathroom was big. No refrigerator or microwave.
The brakfast was absolutely fantastic. You could get everything!
All staff we meet were friendly.

Good midtown location, close to subway stop. But the service was too spotty to make our stay fully enjoyable:
- on the first day one of our towels was dirty
- we had to explicitly request service to make sure our room got cleaned (we did not get service the first day)
- when we got back one day, we found the maid had turned off A/C (on a 40 degree Fahrenheit day)
- receiving a package in the mail involved making numerous phone calls to the front desk and waiting in line for a cumulative one hour
- the free wifi connection was very poor, even when we upgraded to the fast $13/day wifi, it was not much better
- in order to dry your hair you have to keep pressing on a button on the wall
- our room had a connecting door, and we were often disturbed by the loud conversations next door.
To his credit the hotel manager refunded the cost of the wifi connection. That does not make up for the low average service quality.

The hotel is in a great location., right next to Madsion Sqaure Garden Easy to get everywhere as it is close to many trains. Easy walking distance up and down Broadway where there is alot of shopping. The room was typical. Comfortable bed, Flat screen TV, desk, clean, etc. Woud have been nice to have a refrigerator in the room as breakfast prices are extortionate in NY. I would stay there again, albeit expensive.

the hotel is very suitable for all types of trips - business or pleasure. Its centrally located not far from the empire building. Macys and lots of shops are around. Its also safe for single ladies to walk around late at night. the rooms of the hotel are very clean, the staff friendly, I can really recommend a stay there. I normally stayed at the Pennsylvania, where the rooms are dirty and I had to upgrade all the times to get a decent room.

The hotel was great! Everything worked well, including the air conditioning. The room was extremely comfortable and clean with a wonderful king bed and everything-functioning clean bathroom. The hotel has a grand, historic feel about it, and has been maintained over the last 100 years very well. The front desk staff were extremely helpful, getting us into the room considerable before check-in time (we had had an early flight and really appreciated the opportunity to rest in the afternoon), were very pleasant, courteous and professional. The service personnel (room cleaning) folks were very pleasant.

We joined the Carlson club and will be looking at Radisson whenever we travel from now on. The value was very good, had a senior's rate, located in Midtown close to everything, and was much better value than a couple of alternatives nearby, at which I had previously stayed. No comparison really. Kudos to the Martinique!

"We really enjoyed this hotel, clean, great location and good service. From the moment we parked in front of it we were taken care of. The check-in time is 4PM but we got our room at 1PM. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious (we're talking NYC here). All in all we had a great time walking from the hotel to all the major sites and had a wonderful supper in one of the Korean restaurants right next to the hotel"
