This is the second time I have stayed at the Iron Gate bed and breakfast. The house is warm and cozy. My favorite area is the patio. The proprietors, Susan and CR, are helpful and very accommodating. I am vegan, which is always an issue when I travel. Susan made sure she had something I could eat for breakfast, and made great suggestions for dinner. I am so glad I stayed with them instead of some "cold" hotel.

Me and my boyfriend stood in The Iron Gate Inn and Winery for one night during our road trip through California and Utah. We just loved the place! We had a very warm welcome by the owners, Susan and CR, who made us feel at home (and offered us very good wine!). They helped us find a restaurant (a perfect Mexican place!) and we had a lovely chat during the very delicious breakfast. The room was very comfy, clean, and we had our own entrance to the patio. If we ever make it to Cedar City again, we will definitely stay at Susans and CRs place again! So if you are going to see Bryce National Park or Zion, which are both just stunning, stay a night or two at The Iron Gate Inn and Winery!

This is a true bed and breakfast at its best. The Inn keepers were not only warm, receptive and professional, they went out of their way to help. With a late check-in, the local restaurants were nearing closing time, they call a restaurant making sure the restaurant would stay open and would have the full menu available. The rooms were well appointed and decorated, from the tastefully accented antiques to the hairdryer and fluffy towels. The breakfast was not only ample but wonderfully unique, giving you homey feeling. As a world traveler I can truly say that the Iron Gate Inn in Cedar City is one of the best B & B experiences I have ever had… I can still remember the smile on the innkeepers face when she said goodbye.

Room Tip: They have one room that has a custom walk in shower that has three shower heads, you have to try it.

Came with a family of 6 and stayed in the big house (cottage room). It was perfect and well stocked with everything a family needs. The only thing that could have been better was that the blinds in the living room were very dirty so some of our allergies started acting up. Other than that, a great place to stay and the price makes it even better!

Both the property and the proprietors were wonderful. It's a beautfully restored house that is well decorated in keeping with the time the house was built. Both Susan and CR were very gracious hosts. Very central location, with restaurants within walking distance and a stone's throw from the university.
