“Very disappointed!”
Reviewed 7 May 2014

The reviews were great so we decided to give it a try. This may well have been the worst meal I have ever had. We waited almost an hour after ordering for our food to arrive. The steak was burnt beyond eating, charred completely black on the bottom. My daughter said the lasagna was OK, but Olive Garden would have been better. The bill for two was $60, which would have been fine for a good meal. We literally had to drive through a fast food place on the way back to the hotel. Would never make this mistake again!

“Best Italian ever”
Reviewed 14 April 2014

I have never had Italian this good! I'm old enough to know good Italian(over 65). The spinach salad with goat cheese is indescribable. DO NOT miss there signature cheese pasta(your server will advise you). The shrimp dish with red pepper flakes and olive oil was also very good. Wonderful atmosphere, quiet and dimly lit. Server was well versed in the wine selections, menu items and very efficient.

“Excellent food and excellent value for the money.”
Reviewed 14 April 2014

Having lived in Little Rock for years, I had nearly decided outside of maybe the Capitol Hotel, there's really no truly excellent restaurants in town. There's plenty of good little cafe-like places to eat -- Sushi Cafe, Cafe Bosa Nova, etc. -- but no really good sit-down multi-course restaurants.

The location is not at all high-end, but they make up for it where it counts -- with the food. We each ended up having a 4 course meal and I would not change a thing. Everything was very well cooked, seasoned, and presented.

On top of this, Italian is one of my least favorite types of food. Even enjoying high-end places like Il Mulino in NYC, I could honestly take it or leave it. Yet, Vesuvio's food makes me give the entire category another look.

It was delicious and very memorable -- and reasonably priced as well.

“First time ”
Reviewed 12 April 2014 via mobile

Saw this place on trip advisor. Nice decor. Good service. The tomato soup was great as a beginning. Ordered the shrimp diablo and my wife ordered the tortellini. Ok we have finished and I will say the food was great. Recommend. We had soup, 2 entrees, 1 desert for around 75$ FYI.

We were in town for a business, had amazing meal. Salads were amazing. Split lasagna, cannelloni and famous mushroom pasta. Each of them were delicious. Not cheap but good value for a special meal. Amazing service. Love this place.
