“No seasoning”
Reviewed 26 July 2014 via mobile

We ate there last week the fish was thin and the shrimp was hard. The calamari was over cooked. It's a nice spot but I don't recommend eating there.

“Good Food and Atmosphere”
Reviewed 25 July 2014

A good place for fried fish, kebobs, chicken and other sorts of dinners in a fast-paced setting in the River Market neighborhood. The line was long when we got there, but it moved well ... the locals seem to know the drill for ordering and picking up orders, but we first-timers managed to figure things out pretty quickly. No table service, but this was not a problem. Two grandchildren and two seniors had a good dinner on a busy evening, and would go back again when in the area. Pretty good range of draft beer (for the seniors), and an easy walk from our hotel.

“"Reel-y" good food”
Reviewed 24 July 2014

Don't let looks fool you when you walk in. You start by standing in line to give your order. There is a whole other dining area in the back of the restaurant off of the kitchen area. Food is very good. Be mindful if you order it "snappy" as the seasoning will be quite spicy. Highly recommend the grilled tilapia.

“ok”
Reviewed 22 July 2014

Our first trip here. The person who took our order did not seem very interested in offering suggestions and seemed a little irritated that we were having a little trouble deciding. I ordered water and was handed a glass and charged the same amount as had I ordered a soda or tea. The fish was ok, but overpriced for what we got. Would probably not go back but glad we went so we can say we have been there.

“Very delicious lunch at a great price!!”
Reviewed 22 July 2014

I love Flying Fish of Little Rock. Today I had a Tuesday Special for the first time ($9.99). It came with a grilled rainbow trout, grilled zucchini and squash, and red beans and rice. The fish was very fresh, and so were the veggies! I loved the taste as well as the amount of salt they put on them! It was not overwhelming (like some other restaurants), and it was just simple, right, and delightful. I really enjoyed this balanced meal of fish, veggies, and rice.
When you enter the restaurant from the left hand door, you go to the counter where a person takes your order. You can take bottles of drinks from the refrigerator as you order your meal. The menu (written in huge letters) is above the counter. You pay and he gives you a square machine that lets you know when your meal is ready. You find a seat and wait. When the signal comes on, you go to the counter to pick up your order. We sat in a booth right next to the door today, when it was very hot. We moved to a table so that we were not bothered by the hot air coming from the door when a customer opens the door. Over all, it was a great experience.
