I highly recommend this restaurant. The service and food was excellent. I had soup, a beef, cabbage, carrot, and small piece of corn on the cob with rice. So tasty! The main dish included beef tacos, rice and beans. Yum! The service attention was fantastic.

Living near Houston, more TexMex restaurants close their doors every week than exist in most places. This place would be around for a while.

Good food, but it looks like a Taco Cabana, with a different sign, my lunch sucked, but the dinner was delicious, I had chicken taquitos for lunch and enchiladas for dinner.

It takes a little persistence to find El Taquito. Located on Airway Blvd, find the Lone Star Laundry, walk around the back side past the hair salon and there it is. Parking is limited but free.

First warning--they are only open Monday thru Saturday 8:00am to 4:00pm. Second warning--they are a small place, so it may get crowded and you may have to wait for a table. Third warning--the food is fresh and the service is attentive, so if you are used to something else, go there.

I stopped in for lunch--I was the only gringo there, and kinda stood out. Service was outstanding. Drinks (other than horchata) come out of a can (Coke products!). They have lunch specials. I had the flautas (rolled tacos) with rice and beans. The meal came with freshly made tortilla soup. Between the soup and the flautas, I was full. And the price was less than $8.

Give it a try, and you'll not have tacos at Jack in the Box again.
