We stopped over in Ventura for the night on our way from Northern California to Southern California. We headed toward the marina area and found Milano's. We are a family of four with two young children so Milano's fit the bill. The food was good and the service was good. My only issue was that the restaurant uses styrofoam cups and to go containers - why??? Pretty much everyone knows how awful styrofoam is for the environment as it's 100% landfill and toxic - cannot be recycled or composted. That may not matter to some, but it does to me.

The view was beautiful. The service was great. But the food was terrible. The salad was gritty with watered down blue cheese dressing. The eggplant was soggy and tasteless as was the spaghetti. The glass of wine was okay. Not a good experience and we're not fussy people.

We went there for Sunday dinner with family friends. Although we made a reservation for inside seating, we decided to change to outside seating when we arrived. The waitress was not willing to change the seating because "she was already made the table for us." I understood it would be a lot of work if the restaurant was busy. However, they were NOT busy at all. So we decided to switch to a side booth seating. The same waitress with a unhappy face told me that it would take AWHILE because she had to seat another party of 4 people first. Fine. I was okay with the waiting for like "2 mins". We ordered the food. We were all hungry, especially kids, and finished the bread while waiting for our meals to come. We asked for more bread and it never came. During the meal, the waitress came to ask "how was everything?" several times but never came to refill our water cups. When we were still eating, they delievered the check and said "we are not to hurry you." Come on. It was only 8pm. It's NOT 10pm.
The food was okay but the service was terrible. The waitresses were never smile and with a very unhappy faces. I have never been to a restaurant like this. The most importanly, they were NOT busy at all. The resturant was only 1/ 3 full. I will NEVER go there again and I doubt the service would be better when they are busy.

We had some very good pizza here. The house salad was simple and served in a small wooden bowl. We were served bread and some dipping oil which was good. We sat looking out at the marina which was very nice. The servers were pleasant. The scenic view added much to our enjoyment.
