The drive from the visitor center to the Coronado Peak trailhead is able to be driven in a low clearance vehicle as long as you take it slow. Once at the trailhead near the top of the mountain, there is a short hike to the summit at which point you have a great view as far as the eye can see to the South, West, and East. Along the hike are some nice informative signs talking about the life of a member of the exploring party, the signs are good as even though the hike is pretty short, it has a decent elevation gain on the way up.
