Recommended length of visit: More than 3 hours
Owner description: Legacy is an Arnold Palmer Signature designed upscale, 18-hole championship daily fee course, unique from anything found in Southwest Florida. By offering value added, great service and conditioning it appeals to traveling golfers and locals alike. Legacy has earned its reputation as one of the premier layouts in the Southeast US. The course features elevated multiple tees and virtually every hole is framed with picturesque beauty. Our unique course has generous landing areas and wide corridors, making the look very dramatic and visually challenging, while still approachable to all players.

Having played this course when it first opened 17 years ago we were really looking forward to returning and playing again.unfortunately the course was in a very poor condition ,the greens were full of large holes and the fairways very scruffy and untidy.
On completing our round and after paying the full rate we complained to the club pro about the condition but he was really not interested.
I would certainly not recommend anyone going to play here,we also played University Park and Stonneybrook they were in fantastic condition, with much friendlier staff and with a far cheaper rate.

Been playing here for years, great place to play and eat.

Tough starting hole from the back tees, but a very fair challenge. Gordon who works there can never do enough for you, great service.

Just call up before you go to make there is no course maintenance on.

Great wildlife to see as you go around, and check out the lumberjack sandwich in the grill!

Great price for a tough course $25. Greens were rock hard and the fairways were solid but with limited access to level lies. Scenic for sure, but a little water on the greens would provide a better test of putting. Plenty of water for drinking was provided as well. Would like to try this one again when I have a better driver and putter.

Your fine experience begins with excellent service on the baggage drop. Inside staff is friendly and accomadating. The course is always in good shape. If you select the proper tee box, the experience will be worth it. I think far too many times people go for the tips and ruin their entire day. I say why bother! Look at the tee box here you would play at home and go one closer. Makes for an enjoyable time and lets face it- the pros are on tv! The outside covered porch is a nice place to relax and discuss your three putts!

Play numerous times a year. First the hierarchy of some local courses: Class B – The Legacy, Waterlefe, River Strand; Class C – River Club, Stoneybrook, Tara Preserve; Class D – Rolling Green, Saranova. Class A would be The Concession which I will never be able to afford. Course is typical Bradenton/Sarasota style that winds through a subdivision. Most of the time you can’t see the next tee box from you green. Only course I play where the range balls are free and stacked in pyramids on the range. Pretty spiffy. Probably the best fairways of any course I play. Greens are of better quality and the normal size for courses in the area. Fees are at the upper end of the “B” courses; $100 in season; $45 in summer swelter. Play is generally slower here than at other courses. Not sure why as the course is not overly difficult or long. Nothing more than 5 minutes on a few holes. Nothing is exceptional but everything is very good. Great course.
