The Manatee Village Historical Park was on my "bucket list" to see in Bradenton, FL. They have restored the buildings nicely and placed them close together so you don't have to do much walking. It was interesting to see this part of Bradenton's history.

A very good collection of buidlings from the early days of Bradenton. Very neatly kept. Excellent main building displays on the second floor.

I love being able to walk through historic buildings and this park has all sorts. Stores, a school, homes, barns, businesses, etc. My absolute ONLY complaints about this park are that the workers (volunteers?) are completely unhelpful and often pretty rude. I have visited often with my children, but never purchased anything from the gift shop because it's either not open or the workers ignore us when we enter. Also...the park is in a really bad neighborhood, so we have never felt safe enough to leave the village grounds to explore the historic trail and cemetery nearby.

great way to experience life in the past. a large number of buildings rescued from the local area and rebuilt in one location. each has a potted history to read and the general store doubles as a museum.

Lasts an hour to two depending on how you choose to explore. Ties in with another great attraction nearby, the Crowley farm. Pack a picnic and eat in the beautiful area infront of the church. Several hands-on exhibits too. My preschoolers had a blast and wanted to stay longer. High value for the price of a donation. Plan to go again when back in the area.
