“Beautiful Hotel with wonderful service....”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 July 2013

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel over the 4th of July. The hotel was on the the beautiful river walk in Bradenton. Unlike the other review we had a great experience and we had children too. We did not use the pool but found the pool courtyard very beautiful. The staff was always there to help us if we needed anything. DJ a manager was so nice to us that we will be back because how he treated us. Thank you! We thought the suite rooms were enough space for our family and the view was very beautiful from the balcony. It was also very clean. We did eat at the 4th of July dinner before the fireworks and we loved the food, especially the ribs. It was not just hotdogs and hamburgers. The whole family loved it. We had the best view in town for the fireworks and it was one of the best fireworks we have ever seen. We will travel back to this hotel again soon.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience at the Courtyard Bradenton Riverfront. This was an exciting year for the Courtyard Riverfront as well as Bradenton. The Riverwalk re-opened October, 2012 and the river was hopping this summer. With this said, the Courtyard Riverfront offered it's 4th Annual Firework Package which offered the dinner, preferred seating and parking for those that needed it. I am glad you enjoyed it and agree that this is a lovely property. We look forward to having you back again soon.

We arrived only to find out that we were booked a handicapped room equipped with orthopedic structures in the bathroom etc, and told that they do not alert the guest that they're booking a handicapped room unless they specifically ask. Unfortunately they were also sold out when we attempted to change rooms, so we were forced to pay a premium to upgrade to a "riverfront" room. A $200 room with a joke of a "view" on the first floor. We again, had to change room types to accomodate our budget and children and found comfort in the standard double queen suite to call it a day! We were told there would be a large Holiday party dinner buffet in the ballroom for $30 per person, $70 per person bar included. Upon arriving we were told the menu consisted of hotdogs, hamburgers, potato salad (and your favorite summer BBQ cold sides). Hardly worth half the price of what they were gauging guests for. Found it very difficult to sleep the night of the 4th, as the other guests were out by the pool drinking and partying till after midnight. It is permitted too for guests to bring their own alcahol poolside...inviting many to come equipped with 'tall boys' and cases of beer, only to be left there for cleanup the morning after as we exit for a morning river walk. The pool is poorly managed, late night partiers, and early 6am kids awaking guests swimming and splashing. Upon arriving for breakfast (that was to be included per our reservation, as we have children and breakfast is a must), we were alerted that breakfast was not included in either reservations booked (2 rooms, 5 days a piece). A manager understanding the difficulties we had experienced already with our reservation ensured that she would handle it and make sure breakfast was included for our stay. Turns out the manager included a breakfast with 1 room reservation for 1 day. The rest of our week they refuse to look into. "Your reservation confirm code isn't one that includes breakfast, so I'm sorry there's nothing I can do." Of course upon contacting the reservations department at Marriott too to look into the breakfast mixup, they conveniently cannot look up reservations that are current or old.

As a business owner myself, my opinion of this place is the accommodations are nice, however the operations are horrible. The management of this place is a joke.

If you have a "family" and are not a single traveler on business, would highly NOT recommend.

Unfortunately we have another 3 night stay before heading home, however fingers are crossed we don't run into any further complications.

Now, off to find breakfast!

I would like to thank you for taking the time and letting us know about your stay with us at Courtyard Marriott Bradenton Riverfront. I do apologize for your less then desirable experience you had with us. We pride ourselves with offering outstanding customer service, and we are greatly sorry to hear that you experienced anything less. We understand that you stayed over the 4th of July weekend, and our hotel was the prime location for the Riverwalk Annual Firework Show that is located right in our backyard. The hotel does get very busy with families and many local patrons. Here at Courtyard Marriott Riverfront, we try our best to honor all of our guest requests. Unfortunately, sometimes in a sold out situation, especially on a holiday weekend, this can be a difficult. Again, I do apologize for the issues you had during your stay. When you return to the area, we hope that you will give us an opportunity to provide you with our outstanding customer service; we are known for and pride ourselves on.

This Marriott hotel is a rare find. It is reasonably priced but has the amenities of a luxury hotel. The rooms are huge; we stayed in a "larger" room with two beds plus a sitting area with a sofabed, separate tv, and wet bar area. There was a private balcony with chairs to sit outside and overlooked the pool area. The pool has changing rooms/bathrooms and a hot tub. Beyond the pool is a walkway to the water where you can take a stroll with a beautiful view of the bridge and a contemporary boardwalk area waterside. The lobby is very nice, with a water feature, business center, and food service area. The service is impeccable. We asked for a rollaway bed and it arrived before we even made it upstairs! Check-in and check-out was a breeze. Every time we came in through the lobby, there was someone there to greet us with a smile and a hello; very warm and friendly staff. The rooms are well-appointed and the beds are extremely comfortable. We had breakfast from the Bistro there and it was very good, as well as affordable. This hotel is very convenient as it's located directly on the Manatee River, across from the hospital, and right downtown. What more could you ask for? Rooms are very quiet and very comfortable. We will definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: The larger rooms have a pool view from the private balcony.

I was in town for a wedding and stayed here so I only got a brief moment to experience the area, but I will say that the hotel was really quite nice. Great rooms, very comfortable, a balcony was in my room that opened up completely - great to let air in and step out on and just enjoy the sun as I looked out over the river.

The staff was extremely helpful, as I had to interact with them a couple of times to get directions/get a taxi, etc.

It was a bit far from any of the excitement, a quick 5 minute car ride or about a 20 minute walk to the nearest area of entertainment/excitement or in my view the nearest street with bars lining both sides.

Walking along the river was great in the morning, easy access right from the hotel to the walking path. I wish I had more time to spend here, it was perfect weather for walking.

I would also like to add that the breakfast was really quite good (a bit expensive though). I had the breakfast twice while I was there, each time was great regardless of what I got.

This was a gamble choice, chosen to be slightly out of Tampa and St Pete's Beach.

Prior to arrival, expectations had been dampened, as Bradenton was said to be slightly industrial or attractionless, centred on Tropicana Fruit Juice. Reality was far far better. The hotel is next to Manatee Hospital with a very safe and walker friendly promenade just outside the hotel runningfor about a mile. You get great views of the wide river & bridges.

Inside, the hotel is modern and looked recently refitted. It has a Starbucks & breakfast area (extra to room rate). There are also places to buy snacks. It is not however a full service hotel. My room overlooked the pool, which was rarely used.

Highlight if the stay to me was wandering over the road to the YachtSea Grille restaurant. A brilliant find to offset the hotel's lack of restaurant.

I'd happily stay again and choose the area. A good find, courtesy of this site.

We stayed for two nights while we were in town visiting the grandparents. It is a nice area to walk around, and we enjoyed the river. The staff was so sweet to my kids, and that made us want to come back on our next visit!

Our wedding party and us spent a few nights, depending on the person, in this hotel. It was conveniently located to downtown Bradenton and our wedding venue and it was accommodating and awesome in terms of everything. The only drawback was no room service and a limited or non existant menu for downstairs bistro, as well as Starbucks coffee at inflated prices.
