“Well Marked”
Reviewed 19 August 2014

This site is well marked with an interpretative trail and is a worthwhile stop just off the main road. Gives a good idea of the borax mining operation.

“Historic”
Reviewed 22 July 2014 via mobile

It is an amazing historic landmark in the core of Death Valley heat
Not very far from Furnace Creek ranch.
There is not a lot of signs inviting you to the place, I've crossed Death Valley three times and happened to find this place just on the last trip.
It is a small attraction, not to much to be seen, instead rich on feelings for those hard times

“Amazing!”
Reviewed 11 July 2014

It was amazing walking around the Borax Works in that extreme heat we found when travelling through Death Valley.
There are enough information signs that give you an idea of how the borax was extracted, refined and shipped (using dozens of mules!).
Very interesting.

“Interesting history”
Reviewed 22 June 2014

It was pretty easy to walk around the Borax Works, just a mild incline and a fairly short walk. You can see quite a bit remaining of the facility, and there are signs explaining how the borax was mined, refined, and shipped.

Stopped here before but it was in August and it was so hot. Being April it was only about 88f and was comfortable to be able to stop walk around and take photos
