“Comfortable, Welcoming, Historic B&B”
Reviewed 5 August 2014

Lovely old home in the heart of charming, historic Bethlehem, PA. The neighborhood is quiet, and filled with beautiful historic homes. My hosts were gracious and friendly. My room was very nice and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and generous, and the owner serves his fabulous homemade granola with the meal, which is available for sale if you like. Historic downtown is just a few minutes from the house. I was there to visit family, but apart from this, Bethlehem is certainly worth seeing and exploring. I would highly recommend the Bethlehem Inn, and will happily stay there again. Bethlehem has a lot to offer, rich history, from the founding Moravians to the steel mills…art and artisans, shopping, even a casino and good restaurants.

I recently stayed two nights, mid-week, at the Bethlehem Inn in Bethlehem PA. The location is great - despite the freezing weather, I could walk to many shops and restaurants. The neighborhood is clean and neat, with loads of beautiful historic homes. And the homemade granola! I purchased several bags to bring home. It's certainly better than anything I've ever gotten out of a box.

The home is elegant, though there is nothing you can't sit on - a very comfortable living and dining room. I felt very comfortable using the dining room later in the evening to log in and do some work. Being mid-week, and very cold, I was the only traveler brave enough to venture out, so was the only guest at the inn. I was made to feel welcome and special. The owners provided a space heater in case I got cold - that was very thoughtful.

While the home is full of beautiful antiques, the things that count are upgraded in an appropriate manner - my bathroom was very modern but still had a nice vintage touch.

I would certainly recommend the Bethlehem Inn, and will go back if I ever travel that way again!

Room Tip: The Victoria is the smallest room, with private bath and bright with windows on two sides. It was ve...

Lovely old structure with high ceilings and large windows, clean, good layout, very friendly and accommodating hosts. Walking distance to everything we wanted to access - historic Bethlehem, shopping and restaurants. Fabulous granola and muffins, good breakfast selection.

This Inn is in a fantastic location in beautiful Bethlehem. The room was quite clean and very nice. Inn owners were very nice and available, but also thoughtful about your privacy. We enjoyed a nice bottle of wine and a Scrabble game on the back porch and had a wonderful afternoon. The Inn is just a short walk from some great restaurants and shops and is a nice place to spend the weekend. Great breakfast too.

Come for the weekend - breakfast alone is a reason to book here - home-made baked goods (Moravian sugar cake and scones) and delicious hot gourmet fare (this time huevos rancheros and vegetable quiche). But the perfect location - walking distance into historic Bethlehem center - with off street parking is a plus. The Inn itself is charmingly decorated with original art, and Robert and Suzanne make you feel like family.

This is a good little B&B in a very attractive part of Bethlehem. Robert is a good host but he did manage to lose my booking, so it was lucky that the place wasn't full when I showed up! This is not a B&B with a lot of frills -- a simple room with tasteful decor without a TV (I never watch it, so not a problem) and rather erratic broadband (which was a bit of a problem until I moved downstairs, where it improved). Bethlehem itself is a bit of a tourist trap with a casino and some arty-crafty shops selling the usual nonsense and the B&B's simplicity made a nice contrast to this. I would recommend staying here but do be sure to confirm your booking a day or two in advance!
