I'm 95% of an SPG maven but sometimes I stay outside of the box and this time it was a Hyatt. On top of that I'm not usually a big fan of cookie-cutter, non-boutique hotel but the new Hyatt Place brand is quite impressive. The modern design of the rooms and lobbies almost resembles a full 5-star hotel - just on a smaller scale. The bed was comfortable and the room was chic and modern for a hotel under $100. The parking garage was free with the room which was great. The only complaint I would have is that the breakfast in the morning had limited scrambled eggs and items that were filled with sugar. I'm hoping hotels will catch on to start ridding their menus with sugar-filled items such as doughnuts, fat-free yogurt filled with sugar, etc. Greek yogurt would have been nice. Another plus to this hotel is that it's right next to the historic section of downtown Bethlehem.
