I recently stayed at the Hotel Bethlehem while attending the Celtic Classic. The hotel was ideally situated within walking distance of everything Celtic. The staff was excellent and accommodating in every area of hospitality. Parking was incredibly easy and convenient. The room was fabulously decorated, clean and the bed comfy. The restaurant staff was attentive and personable. The historic nature of the hotel added to the charm of the stay. Thanks and I'll be back!

Hi oct2013rmd,

Thank you for joining us during the Celtic Classic weekend in Bethlehem. As you mentioned we are just a short distance away from the festival. We are very fortunate to be in the heart of Downtown Bethlehem. It was the perfect weekend for a festival. We are pleased to hear that you and your friends enjoyed the hotel and found our beds comfy while you were here. We replaced all of our bedding, linens and mattresses last year. The Serta perfect sleepers are quite comfortable.

We look forward to seeing you soon…

I stayed one night at the Hotel Bethlehem for a business trip. The lobby is on the second floor from where the car dropped us. Unfortunately there were only stairs, no ramps for wheel chairs from the entry to the lobby. The Hotel has a grand lobby, reminiscent of another period in time. It was spacious and richly appointed with periodic pieces. The service was great. Check-in was easy. While the rooms were on the smaller size by Texas standards, they were comfortable and nicely appointed. The bed was perfect.

The hotel is located near the center of town and made walking in the evening air quite enjoyable during our Mid-September business trip. There are a number of restaurants, locally owned and run, no chains, with a wide variety of alternatives.

Overall a very enjoyable stay. We will be back!

Room Tip: Our room faced the mountains. In the evening the "Star of Bethlehem" lit up the night sky...

We had our son's wedding here last weekend. Family from all over the country attended. It was a three day weekend. The rooms are on the small side but great bedding and ultra moder bathrooms, yet there is a feel of a grand old time of the past. A lot of oringinal decor makes it a real nice experience, From the door man to the bartenders, every one was so nice. We had a iissue with the lobby area being too warm, that is where where the cocktail hour was going to be held. In all faieness to the hotel it was 85 that day, very warm for October. They shut down one of their restaurants for the cocktail hour and moved it to a much cooler room. That was beyond the call of duty. They go the extra mile to make thier guests happy. I know it wa salot of work to do, moving the entire set up to a different room. By the time the wedding ceromony was over it was all set uo and ready for ythe party. The ballroom was excellent and the food was delicious. The bartenders were quick and promt as well, The next morning we hosted the people who stayed over night for the world famous Hotel Bethleham brunch buffet. Thé brunch was excellent. Pastries like you neve rhad before. They set us up on five tabes in the main ballroom. Wheather you are going for business or pleasure, I highly recommend this place. And for a wdding, it can't be beat.

Hi lance m,

Congratulations! We were honored that your son and his new wife chose us to host their wedding. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. It was an unusually warm day in October that is for sure. We were more than happy to move your cocktail hour to another room to ensure that everyone attending would be comfortable and able to truly enjoy themselves. We pride ourselves on our guest satisfaction. Our goal is to exceed your expectations. We are pleased to hear that everyone did in fact enjoy their guest rooms, the Wedding, and Sunday Brunch. I do agree with you, we can’t be beat when it comes to weddings or any occasion for that matter.

Thank you! We hope to see you again soon…

We stayed just one night at the Hotel Bethlehem because we were in town to catch a Brian Wilson/Jeff Beck concert at the Sands and we very impressed. Where to begin? Everyone we interacted with was exceptional, our fifth floor room overlooked the famous "Star of Bethlehem." The food at the 1741 on the Terrace was exceptional (see separate review) and the beverage service at the Tap Room was impressive as well, as were all the photos of famous prior guests. The neighborhood is filled with delightful shops. As an added bonus, we were driven to the casino and back at no charge. It was crowded because the Christmas rush hadn't started yet, but I would book early for the holidays. If I had to say something bad so this doesn't look like a fake review; yes, the rooms are on the small side as is typical of a historic hotel built before Americans decided they need 1,000 sq. ft. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that has a view of the Star.

Hi Australopithecus1952,

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We are quite pleased that you chose to stay and dine with us while in town to see Brian Wilson & Jeff Beck at the Events center. 1741 on the Terrace was recently restored to its original solarium design and like your guest room provides fantastic views. As you know we have had several Famous guests from Yo-Yo Ma to B.B. King. You will have to take another look at our Famous Guest photos in the Tap Room the next time you are here, you never know when new faces may pop up. Our guest rooms offer some of the best views of Bethlehem. The rooms like yours also overlook Historic Moravian Bethlehem a National Landmark Historic District. If you would like to joins us during the Christmas season I would highly recommend you make your reservations as soon as possible. It is a very busy time of year for us. Our Christmas Decorations will be on display from Thanksgiving until after the New Year.

Thank you for this glowing review. We truly appreciate it. We look forward to welcoming you back during the Christmas Season!

Couples weekend trip. We didn't want to be tied down to the casino with smoke and tour busses but wanted to play a bit. We checked into this grand throw back hotel and thoughts of leaving it were gone. It's old school swanky and has an amazing location. We ate and drank at probably 8 different nearby places through the course of the day into night. A lovely walking town where many restraints offered small plates and outdoor dining (in season). There was also a cool live music scene in the neighborhood. We frequently go to Philly and NYC for fun. But we can't wait to go back to Bethlehem.

Hi Burbs123,

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We are pleased to hear that you both enjoyed yourselves during your couples weekend. We are close to the casino and a great alternative for guests like yourself that want to play at the casino and then get away from the smoke and tour buses. We are a 100% non-smoking facility and as you mentioned we are also in a great location for walking and exploring Bethlehem. We can’t wait for your return to Bethlehem. We do offer packages that would be perfect for your next getaway. I would highly recommend our Romance package which includes dinner for two in 1741 on the Terrace or our Spa package that would include a couples massage at Healing Hands.

Thank you for choosing to stay with us. We look forward to your next visit!

This is a very old and historic property so I was suprised when I walked in my room. First I want to say when I checked in and went to the room it had 2 double beds. I prefer a king so i dropped my bags and went to the front desk and asked if one was available. Cindy at the front desk told me that they were all taken and I understood because my reservation was a short notice situation. I went to the restaurant and ordered lunch( which was great) and before I had finished Cindy appeared with keys and said she was able to work some things and had secured me a king room. I was suprised and grateful. Now back to the room, for a historic hotel it exceeded the modern touches of most modern hotels. Big flatscreen tv, fast wireless internet, i home docking station for your ipod and a Korieg (sp) coffee maker. Everything was great, I was really disappointed I was only staying 2 nights. The hotel is located in an area that has many excellent locally owned restaurants and bars. You can't go wrong with this hotel.
