“Worth the Trip to Tapas”
Reviewed 9 January 2014

My wife and I have enjoyed tapas meals on occasion in big cities, so were pleasantly surprised to find "Tapas on Main" in my "little" home town of Bethlehem, PA, when we visited my Mom at Thanksgiving. Generally, my Mom prefers visiting only familiar, "safe" places, but for some reason was willing to step outside her comfort zone on this occasion. And she (and we) thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff was very accommodating (e.g., arranging seating to allow for my Mom's walker and turning down the music, which was interfering with my Mom's hearing aids). Our waiter also took the time to explain several of the choices and make recommendations, all of which proved excellent.
We started with the Bandeja Mixta (a mixed platter of three meats and/or cheeses). We selected Jamon Serrano, Roncal Sheep's Milk, and El Trigal Manchengo. Our tapas were Viera al Sarten (scallops, our favorite among the tapas we tried), Croquetas de Cangrejo Azul (very tasty, but didn't seem to have much crab meat), and Croquetas de Pollo y Chorizos. I'm no expert when it comes to Sangrias, but we each enjoyed our choices (there are 9 to choose among). We completed our lunch by sharing a slice of the flourless chocolate cake, served with a dip of vanilla ice cream.
All in all, a wonderful meal (especially for a family that loves sharing food, even when it's not a tapas restaurant). We look forward to another visit the next time we're in the Lehigh Valley.

Love this restaurant, food is always good , and it is a comfortable inviting atmosphere. Visited New Year's Eve impromptu meeting a few friends. Was delighted we started there. The lamb meatballs were yummy!

“Cozy Restaurant with Good Food”
Reviewed 16 December 2013

Located north of the river in Old City, this cozy little restaurant was a pleasant find recently. Our waitress, Mary-Noel, was fully familiar with the menu, experienced, and professional. Her tapas recommendations were spot on. An out-of-town couple at the next table were regulars and attested to the recommendations. Lamb Chops (3) were ordered medium rare and were a bit too red inside. Served with a mustard sauce ($14). Datiles con Tocino (Stuffed Dates) (3) wrapped in bacon and stuffed with a blue cheese ($10). Coca de Carne (Beef topped Flatbread) like a mini, oval, pizza with a variety of veggies ($11). Everything was very good - as was the cup of American coffee. The only downside was the wine list with with ridiculously high prices.

“Excelente!”
Reviewed 15 December 2013

I've been here several times and the food, drinks, and service have always been consistently top-notch..The soups salads, tapas, and the different kinds of sangria that I've had have all been superb. Great outdoor seating in summer and a warm ambience inside the rest of the year. Excelente!
