My wife and I decided to celebrate our valentine's dinner with another friend couple of ours. We decided to go to Molinari's and was not disappointed.

I called the restaurant a week or so before Feb 14 and requested a table for 4 at 6:30 PM. There was no issue getting the table and I was also told that we can order flowers in advance if we want and they would put them on the table for our dinner. There were three options - 2 roses, 1/2 dozen roses in a vase and a dozen roses in a vase. I don't exactly remember all the prices but I think the 1/2 dozen roses I ordered was $45 or so. This was really convenient since it was a nice surprise for the wives and also saved us time and the hassle of getting them ourselves.

On the day of the dinner we were there at the restaurant a couple minutes before 6:30. We were directed to our table right away. The restaurant was moderately occupied and hence felt pretty relaxing rather than if it would have been full with more guests waiting. Our waiter arrived right away to take the drinks order. We wanted him to recommend a good wine. He was very patient in getting the feedback from the bartender and explain the different wines. We wanted something close to a Cabernet and were given a few samples of different wines. We finally decided on one and ordered a bottle. Throughout the process, we never felt the waiter getting impatient or anything.

We were then told about the night's specials with a detailed explanation of each of the dishes. We ordered the appetizers and kept the entrée order for later once the appetizers arrived, since we wanted to have a long and relaxed dinner. The appetizers were delicious. The night's special was an orangetini or something of that sort which was fried mozzarella balls with a slight orange touch and other condiments. Not just mozzarella sticks in the shape of balls but much tastier. We also got marinated olives and Burrata and both were excellent.

We ordered Semolina Orecchiette, Procini Canestri, Pinenut-crusted Salmon and a custom pasta dish. Thought the custom pasta option was not there on the menu, the waiter was happy to accommodate our request. Only issue was that he kept forgetting the ingredients we requested. He was not noting down the orders anywhere and instead trying to remember them. In this process, as we guessed the custom pasta was not exactly what we ordered but that was not a deal breaker. This was actually the case right from the beginning. He kept forgetting or getting confused as to what we were ordering since there were four of us and multiple dishes. But most of them came out right. This is the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5.

We also ordered a few desserts and the pound cake was fresh and delicious. Overall, we had a very good time. Best part was that we spent more than 2 hrs and never felt that the staff was waiting for us to leave. The total bill came to slightly over $250 including tip and the flowers but it was worth it.

Lobster pizza and duck fettuccine are amazing but everything here is simply amazing. We are never disappointed and plan on coming back again and again.

This restaurant is on a different level than any other. I used to brag that we have been to Italy many times and this place reminds me of the food.

Now I have to say this is the place we come to Before we plan our trips to Italy. The education you receive about the food and wine is amazing. It gives you great details on what to eat and drink when you go to Italy

If you get a chance, make a reservation for one of their special dinners that focus an a specific region of Italy. They bring in obscure wine that is unknown anywhere outside of the small towns they are produced in. They also import cheeses and cure their own meats. Chef Gio makes amazing foods that you will only find in certain parts of Italy.

Handmade pasta, homemade gelato, and and vegetables from local farmers finish off the fantastic menu at this place.

Dined at Molinari's before a show, had been trying to get a table there for awhile. Definitely need reservations, it is small and intimate, the kind of place that you want to take your time and enjoy your meal.
The menu is brief, everything locally sourced and delicious! The pasta is homemade and sticks to your teeth perfectly, the Bolognese sauce was truly as any of the really good restaurants in Rome when we vacationed there a couple of years ago. I had the arugula salad and it was enough to share and so very tasty. I wish I had had room for dessert, but will the next time. Excellent choice for South Bethlehem, cannot wait to return. Worth every penny!

I absolutely love this restaurant! As, a vegan they go out of their way to make me the most amazing meal. I never have to second guess or ask numerous times if something is vegan. Even the bread it vegan! My boyfriend and I had a lovely New Years Eve dinner here. We both looked at one another and said "I don't know why we do not come here more often". If, you are in Bethlehem and would like some delicious Italian food. Make your way to Molinari's. You will NOT be disappointed. :)
