When we arrived in Mammoth Lakes we had no idea what lodging was like or what to do there. We were thrilled to discover that the Best Western Plus High Sierra Hotel was the perfect place for us. The Hotel itself had all the features we look for: comfortable bed, comfortable seating, refrigerator, microwave, separate seating area. It looked new, which is always a plus. The air conditioning system worked like a charm, no rattles or noisy on and offs. The pool area was average, but the water temperatures were great. No cold pool and boiling spa here! You could actually enjoy swimming in the pool without shivering. The property location is perfect for easy access to the many well planned city walking trails. We are big walkers and never got to cover all the trails. We used to doubt Best Western standards. They are changing our minds with stays like this one.
