We had a wonderful time at Juniper Springs Resort. The hotel is incredible with friendly and helpful front desk staff. We stayed in a 2 bedroom condo, very clean and spacious with views of the mountain. We went hiking, fishing and played a lot of golf. Can't wait to go back.
Mammoth Vacations assisted us in reserving our accommodations and they did a great job!!

Room Tip: Rooms facing the mountain are incredible. Beautiful site to wake up to.

My husband and I stayed here with our toddler one night prior to camping in Yosemite and another night after after camping. We originallly wanted to book at the Village in Mammoth, but we were glad we stayed here at Juniper instead. It is so much quieter and peaceful than the Village, yet location was so conveniently located in Mammoth. The week we stayed in Mammoth was very hot. The rooms do not have A/C, however, one room had a ceiling fan and another room had a fan to use. Opening the large windows helped bring in some fresh air in the evenings, but wished the room could've been cooler. The rooms were comfortable and having a full kitchen was useful for us. We really enjoyed our first night because of the mountain views. There is a resort fee, which is disclosed upfront when you book online. The rate was reasonable for the summer and we would plan to stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a mountain view if available!

This hotel was awesome, beginning with the friendly employee at the counter. The room was spacious and they had all the windows open out onto the balcony. We asked about the view, and he was very honest about a "partial" moountain view. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is close to town and has nice views of the mountain. Front desk staff was friendly. It was way over priced for what you get in the rooms though. Our one bedroom had stained carpets and there was nothing special about the unit. Room got very hot at night. Also, there is a required resort fee added on to the final bill which covers DVDs from the front desk and a shuttle to and from town, even if you don't use the service and are only staying a short night (arriving after shuttle service ends). Overall the hotel is fine, but I plan to try someplace else next time.

Dear SuriChop,

Thank you for your comments on Trip Advisor regarding your recent stay with us. This past weekend we hosted one of the most popular events of the summer driving prices up a bit but booking early will always ensure you get the best value possible. I am glad you enjoyed the view from the room and the service you received from the staff.

Cordially,

Peter A.

Juniper Springs was a good stay- I recommend it without a doubt. It's not a fancy resort but it's quite comfortable for a stay in Mammoth. My family and I stayed in a two bedroom condo. It came with everything we needed: pots, pans, blender, utensils, cups, etc. The resort, condo, and pool area were very clean. I really enjoyed how JSR allows their guests to have drinks pool/hot tub side. Many people brought down wine and beer from their condos. The fire pit was also great, we roasted marshmallows and made s'mores at night.
Pros:
Clean, affordable, distant from the town and shopping areas but close enough for a run, great views, "game room" with table tennis, and other fun outside areas for adults and kids. Oh, and a gym ... that we didn't use. The staff is also really friendly and helpful.
Cons:
No A/C (which wasn't that bad as leaving a window open will usually keep the place cool) and inconsistent housekeeping (it could have been an off week).
Also, they close the pool, hot tubs, fire pit, and BBQ area at 10:00pm. That could be a pro or a con. Personally, I wish they closed it a bit later, at least on the weekend.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay. I'll be staying in the future. Thanks JSR!

Stayed here after spending a week camping up the road. 1-br suite is good for parents and 2 kids (who get sleeper sofa). Room was clean. Full kitchen. Windows are cool -- you can swing open, or tilt. Basic DirecTV. We had view of courtyard; on Level 2. Pines, Mammoth Rock in background. Pool is nice, albeit a little small for such a big hotel. 3 hot tubs. Lots of chairs and lounges. Staff is nice, mgmnt -- OK. Village Staff is a cut above. Common areas pretty well maintained. One drawback is room heat/stuffiness in summer -- hard to get fresh air into unit. We left windows and slider completely open, which sort of helped. Another drawback is late check-in...4 pm. Not much flexibility in getting in early. Overall, I would return.

I was here in the summer (July) and the place was busy but not over-run. The studio apartment I stayed in was well thought out with plenty of space inside, nice views, lots of natural light and a cosy balcony. The building itself isn't that solid. There was a family of elephants lodging in the room above and I could hear every footstep ... if you're sensitive to noise, that might irritate you so be aware. I also noticed today that the wind whistled through the corridors. There's no sound in the apartment, but it was crazy in the halls. Front desk staff have all been efficiently helpful (i.e. they help you, with a smile, but they aren't interested in chatting ... it's very strictly a business, not a community business. Doesn't spoil anything, just an opportunity missed and an item to note in comparison to other West Coast service-related businesses I've used)

Room Tip: Walls / Floors are thin and noise carries. Lots of families / young kids here. If you're not tol...
