This place is very near the Eagle Lodge. We were able to drive up and park right at the chair, but were told they were about to break ground across the street for a big lodge and underground parking structure so before you go be aware construction may be starting outside you window.

The units are funky. They are older with thin walls, and if you are on the second floor over the garage the floors are freezing. Even the carpet was cold, but the tile kitchen and bathroom floors were unbearable.

There is no one on staff in the office after 6pm or before 9am, so basically you cannot ski if you need something from the office, like having the dirty unit you checked into and paid a linen fee for actually cleaned for real. The towels they supply...for a $40 fee...are old and worn out. Below par for even Motel 6.

If you book through Mammoth Reservations and not a private owner, expect problems and no service. We rented in the past from private owners and the units were much cleaner and less expensive.

Was it work the $189 plus booking fee, tax and linen fee? No. It was dirty and cold.

We stayed here for 3 nights, checking in on a sat to Bradley 239. Our bill for 3 nights is this older accommodation, booked through Mammoth Reservations, was over $600 for one weekend and 2 weeknights. The heaters in the unit were insufficient and there was a large space heater in the unit to use. HOWEVER, if you wanted to use the stove and the heater, the fuse blew. So you could either cook or be warm but not both. The sliding glass door lock does not work and snow makes this building technically ground level, so someone could walk right up to the deck and open the door and rob you while you ski.
The wood is too large for the small wood burning stove. It is also very wet and you cannot ignite a fire even using all the provided fire starters. The cobwebs, dirty lampshades, broken door lock, curtains that do not open and close as a result of jammed tracks on the vertical blinds, dust on the wood furniture, NO AC cord for the stereo so forget bringing music, and the list goes on. We did NOT get the unit described as 239.
The TO TOP IT OFF, NO ONE returned our calls and messages to the office Sat night after check in. And on Monday, there was no manager here at The Summit OR at Mammoth Reservations to help us.

Stayed at Summit Condos this past weekend. The one bedroom was reasonably priced, a very nice kitchen (no coffee or sugar, but most utensils, etc) and the sofas dumpy 70's brown, industrial carpet with some stains. But it was near one of their nice pools and pretty hot spas. And down the street from the lovely Sierra Star golf course. I would recommend they invest in luggage carts, otherwise it can be several stair or elevator trips to the room, and elevators only at one end. Front desk management was very efficent and friendly. Had a casual dinner at the bar/restaurant Lananuki? at the new Village, good asian chicken salad and mai tai. Overall, Mammoth town looking very good this summer, I'd recommend the gondola scenic ride, either golf course Sierra or Snowcreek, and a stop for beef jerky in Bishop on the way up.
